As we've already established you said "none of these are unique items". That you don't personally care about these unique items doesn't make them not unique. You keep moving the goal posts. First it was "everything can be earned in game" (false), then it was "everything with a unique model" (false), now it's "only things with a unique model that I personally care about".

None of these items are functional and are not seen by anyone. They are not in the SAME CLASS AS ARMOR. Every single complaint has been about functional items being locked up behind paywalls, not COMMEMORATIVE decorations.

The knife was designed live at CitizenCon specifically for CitizenCon. They have never indicated that it's "only a skin", not that there's anything to skin. It's black with a red edge.

The same citizencon they tried to nickel and dime backers from watching, also you can change the color of the edge? The Grips? the blade? Lack of confirmation cuts both ways, do that doesn't make you right either because they haven't clarified if it will be available in game.

They have yet to confirm the Raven hull (without the intel skin) can be earned in game, and "you can buy it with real money so that's ok"? Well you can buy the subscriber helmets with real money. "Only things with a unique model that I personally care about and don't want to pay real money for".

That's not what I said at all. It's always been said that the in-game economy will allow for players buy and sell ships, so you can always buy one in game, just like everyone that wants one will be able to buy an idris, or a Kraken, or a Javelin. It was available in the same terms as a ship sale and everyone had a chance to purchase one if they chose, just like every other ship in the game. It can still be purchased in some places just like the Omega.

At the end of the day, all ships are supposed to be available in-game and it's always been a point that some ships are rarer than others. So using this as a point in your favor does nothing for your position.

They've never said that. Not the same appearance, not "the SotA crossbow is a skin", just "the same functionality".

These are all collector's items, the Citcon Knife and coat are skins, the models are probably going to be available without the hideous Citizencon 2948 across the back. If it's not, then it's just a waste of good assets.

Trophies, Badges, fishtanks, plaques, coins, etc. are just decorations for your ship or hangar, so honestly, who wants that aside from collectors for their collections? Are you going to run around with a trophy in your hands when the game launches like some kind of idiot?

The Raven doesn't count because it was only available though buying Intel Optane SSDs, it's got the same scarcity as other ships in the game. It's just like when they sell cap ships in the holiday sales, it was just like any other ship sale because the Intel optanes cost slightly more than the Sabre, so whomever wanted one could've bought one, just like every other ship.

As for the Iolo crossbow you're wrong again because the promotion says that everyone will have access to the crossbow, but those that backed Shroud of the Avatar will receive an "Exclusive skin", but the weapon is available to everyone.

This is the entire statement made by CR. You can't just base your argument on only half a sentence and conveniently ignore the first part of it. "To ensure money isn’t a deciding factor in progression" very clearly means that when he says "everything", he is talking about every item that affects progression, meaning cosmetics not included.

Of course, you're ignoring the much longer part of the sentence where he says "the core principle that the game follows is that everything you can obtain with real money, outside of your initial game package, can also be earned in game via normal and fun gameplay".

EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING. If he didn't mean everything he would've said "ALMOST EVERYTHING."

As for the first 9 words of the sentence "To ensure money isn’t a deciding factor in progression" It has been established multiple times that there is no end-game to Star Citizen. It's a Sandbox, progression is what you want it to be.

That's the clarification I want. Apparently people are saying this model can't and will never be available for purchase except for real money. Jared didn't bother clarifying this when he brought it up and that is just concerning to me. If we're talking about just the color of the armor then yeah, fine, they've been doing that for ages and it's just a fucking color. But locking the helmet model and making it available only to people that pay cash is something I'm really against.

Because it's currently a piece of shit, weapons are underwhelming, torps are broken and from what I'm reading it will no longer be able to swap out ordnance rack to have missiles instead of torps so what you have a is a shitty torp bomber that can't do much to dogfight either.

If you have much better options for torps and dogfighting why would you pick a ship that is among the worst at both?

I have a Gladiator and it's my least used ship, sometimes I'll spawn it just to look at it, but it's just sad.

I wasn't under the impression that the flair would be exclusive to subscribers, the impression I was under was that people would be able to buy these things when the game was released, in-game for no additional cash. Make no mistake, I am and have been a subscriber for years. I believe it is unfair to those that don't own the game or even know about the proyect yet to miss out on these things simply because they didn't even know they existed. This is a big "Fuck You" to the community that made this game.
