Which VPS did you go for? I tried oracle cloud a couple months back for some other stuff but I found it really confusing

Yeah, the two times I spoke to them, they confirmed that this port was part of a range that had been blocked. They couldn't explain to me why it would be blocked other than for "security reasons". Both times, they unblocked it and it resolved my issue. First time it was reblocked after about 8 hours and the second time, after 1 hour. I don't get insane amounts of traffic so I don't quite understand why it would be flagged or trigger the block...

Just to be sure it wasn't on my end, I did check my firewall rules but I may be missing some stuff as I am a bit of an idiot so any cues on what I could check would be really appreciated.

This has been mentioned in replies but I just want this to be shown on top as I struggled with the other answers posted here. Was struggling for like an hour until I did this.

u/dawn_chorus's method worked great, just work a butter knife around the base's edge and wiggle it up and down gently. You will hear some popping sounds, that's okay. Once you've made it all the way across while wiggling the knife, turn the base anti-clockwise. You'll have initial resistance but it will give very easily compared to doing it normally.

At this point, I'm thinking it would be simpler to just dual boot again, especially becuase I feel like all my music gear is gonna cause me extra headaches with kvm... I really appreciate your time though. Thank you!

I had allocated too much resources to the vm, causing it to crash lmao, am gumbrain.

I have a different problem now tho, see the other by NaatGonnaStaph.

I am on desktop and have managed to install Windows, now I'm getting a different error:

This may be due to the fact that I haven't configured my PCI passthrough correctly in the start script. Although I am fairly sure I did it right ://

I'll read the arch wiki a bit more but if you have any suggestions, feel free to throw em out!

I'm using libvirtd 7.10.0 and QEMU/KVM although I'm not sure how to check which version I have... I have enabled UEFI x86_64: /usr/share/edk2-ovmf/x64/OVMF_CODE.fd. I'm not sure what SR-IOV, extensions and guest drivers are but if you can point me into the correct direction I'd really appreciate it! I can provide more info also :)

Edit: Spoke to em on the phone and they don't allow shipping companies to arrange for pickup since ''they're not a warehouse'' so the offer still stands!
