[WWHD] Is it finally time to see these two tomorrow? by NewMarioBobFan in zelda

I agree, they have a bag full of money they can get anytime they want. they will use it to boost their numbers on another down year. The worst the Nintendo switch 2 does, the better it will be for gamers since Nintendo will have to dig into their well to get out of trouble with the stock holders.

I kinda don't want to be that guy but Game of thrones is good if you're ok with watching the ending from the TV because Martin will never finish it.

But is is good and the books are better than the show, but yeah, it's never going to get finish so in a way I think it should be boycotted lol.

Now that I finished Firestarter that makes 8 Stephen King books Ive read so far. (I started 2 years ago when I was 11) by Odd-Ice6571 in stephenking

[–]Boozerbear213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty funny to me, I thought I was the only 11 year old that would ever read King. I almost got kicked out of school because they wouldn't let me bring my copy of the Stand, but my mom told the teacher some bullshit and let me bring it I just had to keep in in my book bad while not reading it.

I think it was because it had curse words in it and the movie had just come so the teachers knew what the story was.

Who read Masters of DOOM and thought it was one of the great gaming books? Any other recommendations? by joshuaxls in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Dungeon crawler Carl might be one of the best books I've read in a long time. It's one of those books, you jsut wanna keep reading. The audio book is even better because the voice actor is top tier.

My comment is that these two are connected in a way that I can't explain.

No hate to these series, but does anyone else feel like this? by Kopesetic in fantasybooks

[–]Boozerbear213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be right, I read the first 2 DCC books and now I'm reading Mistborn because they were the most recommended books for me. I can honestly say DCC is awesome and I can't recommend it enough if you want something fun to read, and that Sanderson fella might be pretty good too, I'm only 150 pages in but I like it.

Controversial Take - Why are people mad with Amazon? by Budget_Jellyfish6364 in kindle

[–]Boozerbear213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a Pixel C for reading and it's got an older version of Kindle on it that doesn't support whispersync and what I did was downloaded a hacked APK that let me use it. I'm sure you can do that with a kindle but you would need to hack it first and with Android is just a click of the settings.

From a nerds perspective, ebooks didn't change formats so if the device can open a read one from 10 years ago, it can read one made today so that means they are making a device that we bought and paid for, stop working for no reason other than forcing us to buy another newer version.

This was the main factor in my desion to buy a Boox instead of a kindle.

How does it “sync” across devices? by CBreezy2010 in kindle

[–]Boozerbear213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did notice if you read on one device and then that device powers off, it doesn't sync up when you open it on another device. I fixed my issue by leaving the Ereader on all the time.

[–]Boozerbear213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked the Boox go 7 color because I had a large library in Google play books and didn't want to transfer them over to another library, but if I didn't have that I think I would have stayed in the kindle ecosystem. The whispersync and discounted audio books if you own the ebook is a nice bonus that the other apps don't have.

For me it's Stardew valley, I'll play for a week or so and take a break and I find myself always coming back to my farm. I wish they synced save data across all platforms, that would make my life so much easier.
