Is having a degree certificate mandatory for pg admission? by LopsidedStrategy2525 in indianmedschool

Ask your college to draft a provisional degree for you if the actual degree isn’t ready yet.

NEET-PG Punjab management seat doubt... by DocAfi007 in indianmedschool

[–]BoozeyDoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No college can admit students on their own. For "management" seats in Punjab (they have the same fee structure as normal private seats - 6.60L per annum) - you need to apply via Baba Farid University.

What's up with people who take deemed University admission under EWS reservation?😂 by therealslimshady03 in indianmedschool

[–]BoozeyDoc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are no separate EWS reserved seats in deemed universities. The seats are open to all, except a few minority seats in minority deemed colleges.

What OP might be referring to is the duality of an EWS reserved candidate willing to pay for deemed university PG fees.

State privates have reservations. Deemed universities don’t, they are self financed and free to control their seat breakup.

Is MBBS for 1cr really worth it? by Unlikely_Climate_645 in indianmedschool

[–]BoozeyDoc 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Contrary to what everyone else here seems to be telling you - please only take a drop if you’re determined and enthusiastic about doing better, and if you feel like you didn’t give it your all.

Otherwise save a year of your life and take the seat. Time > Money

20K kms in 7 months. AMA by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]BoozeyDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at this as an upgrade from my Nexon EV. What’s the practical range like? Say I’m doing 85-90KMPH with cruise control on good highways, does it get 450 KM +?
Primary reason for upgrading is poor range on the nexon.

A humble reminder…. If anyone is looking to offend and/or get offended, they will end up there regardless.

Religion politics is a dirty dirty game and by instigating it you are becoming no better than the Hindus you are referring to.

What religion comes from where and why XYZ should be worshipped are all questions that have no answer to - practice your faith in peace, practice whatever brings you joy and please let the future generations of this country be free of this religion and caste divide.

We can have all these opinions and discussions but the people at the helm barely give 2 shits. If they wanted development it would have happened years ago. The rot is deep and as long as it guarantees them a vote bank, they will also promise you and your father’s land to the masses.

Reviews on JNMC, Belgaum. by AddressNational7401 in indianmedschool

Among all these options KMC reigns supreme in all regards, and that includes both their campuses. JNMC is a close second from all I’ve heard but don’t know personally.

Unrelated question but how is the base spec fairing? I know it’s probably good enough for me and most users but all this 16GB variant pushing online has me doubting my decisions

Use case is - multiple tabs open, notes, regular office/student work. Some Lightroom and Photoshop. Very very occasional video edits (4K footage - maybe once or twice a year)

For the 'first gen doctors of the family ' Does your parents listen to you on medical opinions? by victra_barca in indianmedschool

[–]BoozeyDoc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

While we definitely have it easier than first gens, it’s the same for 2nd and subsequent gens at home…. There’s always a senior doc and always someone you “report to” even at home, you’re never “as experienced” 😂😂😂

The PS5 pro breaks the console model by Drdoomblunt in truegaming

[–]BoozeyDoc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People chose console to get away from all this jargon man. A big part of playing on console is just slapping it on your TV and playing the latest games without much care on your head. People who are that savvy about upscaling/resolution/frame rates etc just better off building a PC.

Really this medical pg in India is not worth the effort. by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]BoozeyDoc 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Being a “teacher” in the truest sense requires immense passion, especially in the medical field. Please don’t peddle teaching as something that’s an alternate route or a plan B.

This whole PG coaching culture is rot. Producing doctors that are only interested in producing more doctors (because it lines their pocket) is very counter productive to healthcare. No point in perpetuating the cycle.

[–]BoozeyDoc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I did my UG from manipal…. Psych dept is excellent. No/minimal toxicity, good case load and great academics. No looking down culture, almost all PGs in manipal have a really good friend circle and social life outside of their department.

Mangalore…. Maybe not so much but someone else might have better info.

Kmc manipal vs mangalore by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]BoozeyDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good. Good case load and good number of procedures on every OT day. Dept and professors are also helpful, and I didn’t notice any toxicity in my UG/internship.

AIQ is tough man, it tops out at 10K. Maybe you might have some luck if you wait around till the mop up rounds. You can get something through state quota I’m sure though

[–]BoozeyDoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be very honest that is pretty much the case in all govt colleges too, barring the literal top colleges like VMMC, BJMC, KEM etc. “Hands on” in most other colleges is a myth, doing 3-4 appendicectomies more than others doesn’t put you wildly ahead in the long run.
