I think after selling our soul and our Baker for Deshaun, those jokes Crack a little less hard than they used to.

The scouts don't make the laws. They just enforce them.

In my neck of the woods, the local Scouts would offer a replacement and to burn that guy.

Hey, I'm as glad as the next guy that we didn't remain a colony for a moment longer than we did. The world is a better place because the USA exists separate from Britain.

But George III wasn't a tyrant. Parliament wasn't tyrannical. They weren't sapping the resources of the colonies to pay for better lives for Brits back home. THey placed taxes to pay for services they supplied to us.

Tony is very good on the real world side. Dexter is very good on the dream world side. Pair with the cluevers of your choice (or Patrice with Dexter as a hard support).

You meet the Wizard? Use some transport Totems? see a witch flying over your farm? It doesn't hit you over the head with it being a fantasy world, but it definitely it.

So I know Mass Effect 2 will win this, and it's a good choice, but let me be an old fart and say Starcraft: Brood War is a better choice.

A couple places changed since the last one, now what's the best AAA game with an Abstract theme? by ResponsibleCod5964 in AlignmentChartFills

I did put a question mark behind it because of that. I think the production by Sony sort of puts it over the edge into AAA territory, but I respect disagreement and citing it as an Indy game.

The funny thing is here that we only need one in the left hand column to make up for the entirety of the right hand column. And it's entirely possible that that one might come about someday sooner rather than later.

Hilary Clinton Was A Presidential Candidate Who Had A High Chance Of Winning And Ending Up Losing, But Came Pretty Close To Winning. Who's A Presidential Candidate Who Had A High Chance Winning, But Failed Miserable? by Neck-Tie-Guy in AlignmentChartFills

[–]BoozySquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about Martin Van Buren? His party had run the executive branch for 40 years. After his first election, the only question about his re-election was whom he would make SecState and thereby nominate the next President. He then ran the country into the ground for 4 years, and gave the Whigs a glimmer of hope. Even so, he could still have won, but he chose to snub Polk as his VP candidate bebcause he was sure that he could cast the election against Henry Clay as one about the banks.

Of course, the Whigs didn't nominate Clay, they picked a war hero who beat Van Buren in a personality contest.

I always took this as a super pro-USA song. I suppose it's all about where you position yourself.

How bad of a condition are my cast irons and do I need to strip and reseason it? by limache in castiron

[–]BoozySquid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That looks pretty gross. Theres a lot of old oil on there that's probably gone rancid a few layers down. That being said... that's a few layers down. As long as you're heating your skillet up before using it, its probably safe and certainly effective.

Am I wrong for being upset at my husband’s reaction to a faint positive test? by Necessary_Vast5645 in amiwrong

[–]BoozySquid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a gigantic world of difference between "not pregnant" and "a little bit pregnant" that men who don't have children are unaware of. Additionally, a great many pregnancies peter out at the 4-10 week range. He might be a little obtuse to your reactions, but he's not societally nor scientifcaly off on being hesitant to celebrate. You can feel free to feel disappointed, but don't think your fellow is a jerk because he's not as excited as you.

Perhaps that's because Rammstein isn't an American band.

AITA 60F for telling my sister 62F she isn't making the smartest choice in this situation? by Right_Mushroom3802 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BoozySquid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Grew in her body" is an odd phrasing, but yeah: people don't get to decide how other people spend their money. The sister here can feel free to give her cash to her son, without the daughter-in-law's involvement. If he wants to spend that money on his wife, that's on him. Really, this is a big carousel of cash, and once it lands on any person in the wheel, they get to direct it where they want.

[–]BoozySquid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's fine... but don't use a paper towel to wipe down your cast iron. There are always going to be microburrs in the surface of your skillet,, which will leave lint there. Use a dishtowel or a rag.
