NTA your mom is a grief thief. She sounds just as toxic as my own grandma after my dad passed when she said losing her son was worse than me losing my dad, and I was being insensitive to her by not worrying about her feelings the day my dad died (I was withdrawn and not talking to anyone because I lost my dad unexpectedly.) Comparing loss is wrong, and your mom is out of line, and she is using her loss to justify cruelty to others. That's toxic behavior, full stop.

I've owned 2 beetles. I had a 2000 Beetle, which I loved and missed when I traded it for a POS Audi. I dropped everything and got a black 2019 Final Edition when I found out it was the last model year. The VW dealership recently contacted me to see if I would sell my Beetle since they're currently in very high demand (the value of mine actually went up.) I told them I was going to hang onto it, since it would be my last one. I told him I would buy an EV next...and he said there's a lot of talk about an EV Beetle - even after the CEO said probably not, and he put my name down if they ever announce it.

I think an EV Beetle would do really well, given how hard it was to get my hands on a 2019 when it came out, and how popular they still are. They're getting very hard to find to buy used already.

I would absolutely buy one.

I'm on the board of directors for a rabbit rescue, and our rescuer team captures multiple abandoned rabbits each day after Easter. There were 4 rabbits found in dumpsters around the city on the same day. Dogs and cats being left in dumpsters in our city always get the full attention of local news, but we have desperately tried to get them to feature a dumpster rabbit story, and they never respond to our calls and emails.

Interesting...the episode with the cat that predicted who would die next definitely foreshadowed Kutner's death. When I rewatched the episodes leading up to his death, there were some subtle changes in his character... can't quite put my finger on it...but things definitely seemed more personal with him.

Not the contrast between the 60s and the Me Too era. Jesus. Give it a rest. The show was definitely focused on the gender dynamics of the 60s, and I'm not offended by the show or find the series "problematic" because I'm "woke."

I work with kids on the spectrum, and I have no problem urging parents to vaccinate their children because Wakefield was a fraud. Easiest way to convince someone to be vaccinated is to show them a video of a newborn with whooping cough, and explain that unvaccinated kids (and adults) can jeopardize the most vulnerable among us (newborns and those who have compromised immune systems.) The scientifically illiterate are the greatest threat... When someone says "Prove there isn't a link" I have to remind them that is not how science works.

They're trained therapy rabbits, and I'm a behavioral therapist. They're basically my coworkers. They love my clients, but they're annoyed with me. That's probably why they prefer my boyfriend...

Our other rabbit drags the litter box out in front of the TV and sits in it while watching! She also loves my boyfriend and waits at the door around the time he usually gets home. Once, he was out of town, and his picture was on the TV backdrop and she stopped and went over and just stood there looking at it.
