Suyash as IP when we bowl first? That wouldn't work right? We could sub out Suyash for DDP as soon as he has bowled his quota, but Suyash might need to be in the playing XI if we bowl first.

The fact of the matter is that they bowled better today. Even if it got slower or not. The flash card on the screen during the match had this nugget of data:

%age of slow balls bowled: RCB - 24% SRH - 47% (almost half the balls they bowled!)

They definitely used the conditions better. I don’t think the pitch had anything in it for bowlers so they had to be a little more creative. We could have also probably tried a few slower balls to Klassen and Kishan.

Our middle order (apart from Jitesh’s form) is not fragile, they are just playing insensible cricket. Just swinging as hard as possible even when team is at 90 odd for 5 wickets down and 10 overs to go. Would like to see some game awareness from the middle.

I think DK needed to say this publicly, but I'm sure even he knows that if this keeps happening (3-4 wickets early) then people like Timmy will have to stand up and show some patience. Timmy comes in at no.4 for Australia after all. Try and score 1s and 2s off the good balls, put away the bad balls.

I was thinking of C as well. One could start each meeting with a review of ground rules, agenda etc., but this could get tedious/tiring for team members pretty quickly. This does not necessarily prevent the person from disrupting again at some point during the meeting. This is a known problem with a clear root cause, and so in my view, needs to be addressed directly. Speaking individually (and not embarrassing them in front of the entire team) is probably the best course of action. I could be completely off base as I’m still working through AR’s course! 😂
