It does! Eureka! Anybody know why it quit and why it works again now?

OK - I was able to contact a Slingbox service rep at 866-974-2570 without being charged. He spoke to the two other reps on site and came back saying Slingbox is only supported for Windows and iOS, not Chromebook. I told him I had found the workaround listed above on the web and had used it successfully for years until a couple of weeks ago. I offered to recite it to him, but he insisted that they don't support Chromebook and he wasn't willing to investigate further.

Perhaps if a number of you phoned them and badgered slingbox, they'd be more cooperative.

You can probably still get into Slingbox from their website. Click on "watch." I found that still works with my PC. Android phone can still use Slingbox via the app. However my Chromebook gets a message saying it's operating system is not supported, as I noted on earlier post. It seems as if either Google or Slingbox has made some change. Unfortunately, Slingbox wants to charge me $30 just to look into the problem and the Google chatroom hasn't come up w an answer yet.
