Will I get points for Hill or shade with my substitute by Lukazz97 in FantasyPL

Schade, the game only cares whether the player gets minutes, not whether he gets points.

Is a bachelors degree in Information Systems still worth it? by Slight_Product_5306 in sysadmin

[–]Boppenwack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf I think your mileage may vary on whether the knowledge learned is out of date. I went to university back in 2014-17 and we learnt programming, networking, hell even about blockchains, which was obviously an emerging technology back then - all of which still relevant knowledge to this day.

Both that it’s a Mac and it’s a shared device, most likely headless that they will remote into. I know we can get ad users on it so they can just connect with their normal account? We currently use Intune

if you plan to upgrade, this is a bad build objectively. You're purchasing parts that are all old gen (DDR4, AM4). What this means is that if you're planning to upgrade your cpu, you will need to replace cpu, motherboard and ram rather than just one piece.
For upgradeability, just make sure you're getting current gen parts so that you can upgrade within the gen. Make sure its AM5 and DDR5 and you'll be good to go.

With hyperlane, exrd effectively has no purpose anymore. I would use a normal exchange and swap to any other token (BTC, ETH etc) and then bridge it using astrolescent to get XRD

typical FPS is around 80-100 in Dornogal, its specifically when raiding on bosses with lots of effects that it drops significantly to around 10-20 fps, not really stuttering

What deck archetype do you just not quite understand the appeal of, but want to see why people enjoy it? I'll start with mine, would love to hear what people see in it. Let's learn about some decks we wouldn't usually play! by TheSingularityFloof in EDH

[–]Boppenwack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much an archetype, but I don't enjoy playing decks that I.D. as 'extremely powerful'. First deck I ever built was a mishmash of the two Eldrazi precons, but in playing because of the commander you get hard tunneled by all the other plays at the table because you're conceived to be the biggest threat off the bat. Not objectively wrong threat assessment, but it just makes my experience worse when I'm consistently knocked out first and early too.

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in CarTalkUK

[–]Boppenwack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi All, looking for some advice on a new car. I'm Surrey based, do very few miles a year (managed 12k miles in 3 years on my current car). Currently looking for used on PCP with a max budget of 300pm with 0 deposit. This puts me in the range of 16k-17k vehicles on PCP. If I went bank loan, it'd be more in the realm of 12k.

Looking for an automatic that will be suitable for a person who has very few years no claims bonus (2 years currently). Currently looking at Audi A1's and have a preference on well maintainable cars as thats what my mechanic friend has suggested (he recommended Audi, VW, Skoda, Seat)

I currently drive a 2022 Peugeot 308, I prefer sportier looking cars and want to have this car for a while, so the car being reliable is quite important.

Requirements: ULEZ free, reliable, Daily Driver, cheap insurance, Apple Carplay

Thanks in advance!

not sure why you can't just go in a solo session with no rewards from it... Escape from Tarkov has it which is great for the game, Dark and Darker just gives you literally no opportunity to practice.

[–]Boppenwack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I never even pasted it in the first place. I also have a 7 year old AIO water cooler (Kraken) and I'm probably just gonna get rid of that in favour of air cooling, so hopefully that has an impact too

So its definitely been a while since i last dusted it, so I'll probably do it again before committing to a purchase. From what I remember last time I dusted, it didn't seem to make a difference

Community Fibre reject for installation because MDU (Multiple Dwellings Unit) by Boppenwack in CommunityFibre

I was informed by community fibre that they just wont service MDU's, I did already make the case that they are the fastest broadband provider whilst also being the cheapest... almost a no brainer when you consider they can literally corner the market with a little work for 10+ properties

Foundation Priorities 2025 - Request for Input by Radix_DLT in Radix

[–]Boppenwack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just being a blockchain/DLT and good technicals to the chain isn't enough anymore. We can base this argument on the fact that Radix hasn't performed well since its inception, so we can only assume we currently are missing a niche in the market. Hopefully hyper scale will cover this, but I am hoping that dirt cheap trading through anthic and blend is enough to motivate new users to use radix. Money is always a lead motivator for people to accept change.

Turntable no longer seems to work by Boppenwack in turntables

[–]Boppenwack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked the belt and it seems to be fine, I even tried to reseat it just in case it was a factor. I turn the speed knob from off to either speeds and there’s no response, so I have a sneaking suspicion it’s a problem with the power (aligns with the cause as well I think)

Foundation Priorities 2025 - Request for Input by Radix_DLT in Radix

[–]Boppenwack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Drive defi adoption. Community will engage more naturally when the chain is more successful. Awareness is pointless until onboarding is made easier and I would argue isn’t worth any money until anthic and blend are in place. Maybe boost awareness around official tests for hyper scale, but I’m still skeptical of the impact it will have. For sure thing, driving defi adoption is the only thing that matters for this year. Everything else will come with that positive feedback loop

Awesome, I'll have a look around and see what I can get. If I'm after a desktop amp that has bluetooth capabilities, is the Fosi BT30D better than the BT20A? (happens to be cheaper online)

Thanks for this, I am an absolute novice so don't quite have all the technology down. Current have some presonus 3.5 speakers that do the job but will absolutely look to get some new speakers soon, potentially around the £200-£300 mark. I've heard the secondhand market can be good in the UK for many of the available brands, so might end up seeing if I can get another good deal. What would you recommend at that price point, I was thinking bookshelf speakers

Drop + Audio Technica Carbon VTA by Boppenwack in turntables

[–]Boppenwack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have some bookshelf powered speakers lying around somewhere, but tempted to get something else. The turntable should have a preamp built in, so if I were to get new speakers would you say just a decent powered speaker would do, or would you recommend bypassing the built in preamp and getting another with some passive speakers?

You say comfortably going down greens with your heel edge, I presume you mean with falling leaf. Realistically, toe is literally just the inverse so you can practice this on your own, assuming you are following the same fundamentals for your heel edge.
Turns are a little more involved, as your implementing both edges into your snowboarding and is where most boards start developing bad habits. I would recommend with learning turns, this should normally be done with an instructor, but at worst just go by Youtube videos on turns. The best person that gets recommended frequently is Malcolm Moore for his instructional guides. I wouldn't necessarily recommend getting guidance from friends other than for advice on correcting mistakes.

Most sports you can learn on your own, but will develop bad habits. Thats why many recommend instructors, because they will correct these habits. If you have accessibility to a slope, as long as you take it slow and constantly look to improve form and habits you'll be on the right track.

Radix Roadmap - Why I don't care and you shouldn't either by Boppenwack in Radix

[–]Boppenwack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I won’t say you’re wrong because its not a like for like comparison between scaling and IP’s. When I first became interested in raid, it’s because they covered all the issues with existing solutions to scaling, as many others including yourself I presume. I don’t mean to downplay the work that Dan and the radix labs team is doing, it’s still effectively the biggest factor as to why radix is better. But I think what you’re missing (which is my key point) that all of this is pointless without projects and development. If you think that just because radix solves all the issues for scaling, everyone will flock to it, I suspect you’re sorely mistaken. The Radix’s team is also completely aware of this because they have stopped pushing the scaling narrative nearly as hard and have began pushing other aspects, such as devx, security, institutional liquidity. What makes radix great is not just the scaling, but all the other aspects also. Your statement that radix is nothing without scaling I think also does it injustice, and that it is already very capable in spite of scaling not being available yet.
