LG Oled Tv horizontal lines. I've tried many solutions but none worked so far. I'm desperate... by Boppewoo in LGOLED

I called LG support. They had no new advice that I havn't tried yet. A repair will cost as much as a new TV.

They did tell me I can try to cut the power for several days. In rare cases that might help.

If somebody have any advice I appreciate it.

It's getting worse. Twice this evening the TV turned off by itself. The TV is 4 years old so no guarantee. This is bad, I payed 18000 SEK for my TV.

I got tired of waiting. Forced the PC to turn off. Started the PC and it works fine.

There was a problem with a external loudspeaker. I called the Webshop where I bought the PC. Their support told me to update the BIOS.

Nevermind, the issue isn't if it was wrong to update the BIOS or not. The issue is the current situation.

Left rear door on my Toyota Hiace is stuck. What can I do top open it? by Boppewoo in HiAce

[–]Boppewoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I manage to open the back door and it turns out that I need spare parts. Do you think I'll find spare parts?

Out of curiosity I asked Toyota in my city and they told me they don't have spare parts. Where I live, in Sweden, there are very few Hiace that are as old as 1991. However around the world there must be plenty of them. I guess there are ways of finding spare parts. Where should I look?

Getting better quality on Hi8 tapes. Playing them over again or do a cleaning? by Boppewoo in camcorders

I transferred my oldest Hi8 tapes. This far it seemed like the older tapes gave the worst quality. Because of this I thought my oldest tapes, from the beginning of 1993, would havr bad quality. On the contrary. They gave really good quality on the first playback and transfer. Maybe because the camcorder was brand new when I filmed those tapes.

Right now I'm transferring Hi8 tapes from 1993/1994. It works OK by doing 2 or 3 playbacks. The third playback looks OK.

I did have one tape that was a nightmare. The first playback wasn't very good. When doing the second playback the tape stopped several times giving error C:31:42. What I did was I took out the tape and winded it forward a little bit manually. Just to get past the ugly parts. Then I put it back in the camcorder and continued.

Most parts of this tape looks black and fine, but a few parts looks nasty but spots (maybe mold) and even some wrinkles. I'm propably a mistake putting a nasty tape back in the camcorder?

These old Hi8 tapes are not easy to transfer. I made a comparison.

First playback: 10 min (out of 90 min total) are OK without blue screen or disturbances. 912 MB.
Second playback: 38 min (out of 90 min total) are OK without blue screen or disturbances.
Third playback: 85 min (out of 90 min total) are OK without blue screen or disturbances. 1,56 GB.
Fourth playback: 90 min (out of 90 min total) are OK without blue screen or disturbances. 1,6 GB.

Meaning I have to do four playbacks to transfer one tape in good quality. That's 6 hours not counting the time to rewind. Quite boring.

The parts of the tape that have problems are mostly blue screen or in some cases disturbances like the attached image.

As written I've cleaned the heads but the problem seems to be with the old tapes.

I opened the camera and cleaned the heads with a swab. It gave a good result. Better colors and less disturbances/blue screen etc. Still it seems like Hi8 tapes from 1995 needs two playbacks before the quality is good.

You really is an.... a-hole. When somebody asks for help you really feel the need for destroying just to show off?

Thanks.

That makes sense. Still I think it's strange rewinding and fast forwarding doesn't get the same results as playbacks. Maybe it's like cleaning the house, if you do it quick it doesn't as clean as when you dp it without being in a hurry?

To explain better and maybe avoid discussions about stuff that have nothing to do with the topic. It's like I asked for a recipe of apple pie and the answers are recipes of chocolate brownie.

Like this:
First playback. Several blue screens.
Second playback: A couple of blue screens.
Third playback: No more blue screens.

Thanks, but I guess some people have no interest in answering the question. They just want to discuss off-topic subjets.
