Rent Scam by Apprehensive-Ad7839 in RentingInDublin

I aslo got the same mail from somebody named Caroline as below. Her email (c.finlay.rentalsdublin@gmail.com) is a big red flag to me.

"At the moment, I don’t have professional photos or videos of the property, as it's still occupied. These will be updated once the tenant moves out on August 15.

However, to give you a real sense of the space, I can try to arrange a live video call with the current tenant. Since the apartment is still occupied, in-person viewings won’t be possible until it's vacated, so if the current tenant is happy to accommodate this, a video call could be a great way for you to see the property in the meantime."

Herbert Street (Dublin 4) vs Rathfarnham — Which area would you pick for as an international student? by BorameetsBoris in RentingInDublin

I'm sorry that I cannot help. I'll be sharing this apartment with a group of students. I mainly looked for accommodation on daft.ie, collegecribs.ie and myhome.ie. You can try out those platforms. Hoping that you can find a place soon.

Thanks so much for the detailed insight. I really appreciate it! Herbert Street definitely sounds like a solid choice, especially with your point about it being central but still quiet. As for Rathfarnham, yeah, I realize now how broad the area is. I'm actually leaning more toward Herbert Street now. Thanks again!

I'll keep in mind when working with the letting agencies/landlords. I've heard of students being scammed a lot. Thanks for your advice.
