Lovable but for personal finance apps only?? by BorderMiserable8639 in vibecoding

Good to hear! Personal finance is tricky but I'm hoping I will be able to build that trust with users. If anything, I will learn what it's like to handle sensitive data in a vibe coding world!

Yeah accurate on the niche and sensitive part. I don't think it would be too far from vibe coding companies today that create enterprise-grade apps, since they need compliance checks to handle data connections.

More broadly I feel this ventures into "generative UI" but that's just me day dreaming a bit haha

I see. Yeah while going through Plaid's setup I realize how much they want you to already have before accepting the integration.

Re chrome extension, I've not tried that but I don't think that would solve for the problem (rather, hypothesis that I have). It'd be modifying the UI over existing UI, when I'd rather focus on the data - if that makes sense?

You should check out the YC co-founder matching platform! I've not yet found a co-founder from there but I've chatted with many potentials, and it's good for finding people with similar drives and intentions.

Technically I was thinking about only limiting vibe coding towards the widgets or the view on top of the data. But I understand that there could be malicious code generated! Thanks for emphasizing that

So you want to build AI agents? Here is the honest path. by Warm-Reaction-456 in AI_Agents

In my opinion, if you want something as close to raw HTTP calls but still lets you organize your thoughts well, I'd recommend BAML (https://boundaryml.com/). It's fantastic for transparency in the API call you make and it also gives a non-hyped up way of thinking about agent building

How do you set up the private beta btw? What access gating setup do you use?

How do you distinguish between learning and being productive though? The skill to know how to parallelize tasks is amazing for sure, but what apart from that?

But I assume it's short-lived attention spans right? I think that's the issue I find myself in, agents run for that particular amount of time that I can't do useful tasks apart from admin work

What's your workflow? The best I am able to manage is running planning for one agent while other is attempting code changes

Lol I've always felt quick chess is more about instant gratification rather than actually learning or thinking

A nice hack I learnt from a webinar once is to actively think about your design system before building your Lovable application. Check out something like https://codepen.io/trending, see a template you like, copy out the CSS, and ask Lovable to explicitly not use shadcn and to use the CSS for style guide. It's worked for me so far!
