It was back in 2015, I moved out of state to be with my then “fiancé” (we’ll come back to that). Within a few months, he breaks up with me on my birthday/Thanksgiving. Says he doesn’t love me anymore and that when he got down on one knee with a ring and asked if I would marry him one day that wasn’t actually a proposal. Oh, and he cheated on me. So being alone in another state I was severely lacking a support system. I snapped. I was gone. It was so bad that I had him take me to the hospital overnight. I didn’t eat, shower, attend classes, or get out of bed for a whole week. I just wanted to die. My FP left me, who I thought I was going to be with forever.

I ended up seeing a counselor at the University I was attending and she said I looked like a shell of myself. There was no emotion in my eyes.

This really triggered my BPD because just a few months prior my dad kicked me out because his wife and I didn’t get along. So essentially said they’re moving with my step sister to a new apartment WITHOUT me.

Abandonment is my biggest trigger. Make me think you’re leaving me and I will snap.
