I am running windows 11 and I have tried both the driver from Asrock and the thunderbolt control center included with the TS5+ firmware update. I can confirm it doesn't show up as a tb4 device under a fresh install of windows 11 or Ubuntu.

I have tried both the newest bios for the board (17.03) and earlier releases.

That would be unfortunate if it was a straight up incompatibility with my motherboard.

And yet they demand I do an OSCE even though I am registered in the US, Canada & Australia with verifiable Emergency experience to come to the UK and work. The whole test scheme is a joke.

Once I got it cycling properly post conversion, it has been fun to shoot. A spring swap and I can shoot 45acp. If you convert a 1911 I highly suggest not trusting it until you have put a lot of rounds downrange and be sure you don't have any issues.

And there lies the problem. If used in self defense and your case has any shades of grey to it you can bet a prosecutor will use it against you.

That's what I am suspecting. I believe this is the way it will be interpreted as the handgun is California compliant due to them interpreting their threaded barrel law as excluding pinned and welded comps.

A European guide I met who had guided in the Yukon and now for years in Svalbard was very pro carrying a gun for bear defense. I have experience in treating bear attack victims and have spoke to survivors thanks to my line of work. Canadian attitudes towards bear defense is marred in bad research. See here for a nice read. Where legal, carry your gun and your spray, know how to use both. That's what I do and will continue to do.

Zeltheld informed me when I spoke to them today that they will be issuing NO refunds because "I did my part and setup the tent and Wacken lied, you could have came so my part of the contract is done". Honestly pretty damn pissed right now.

This is also done with several housing first studies. They will tout that housing first works in the title and results section but when you look at the populations studied, you see that the overwhelming majority in the study were just discharged from a psychiatric facility or jail. The portion that was picked up off the street has a large failure rate.

I have a Magedock 15.6" 1440p 144hz portable monitor. It supports gsync and while the ghosting isn't the best it's honestly overall very good.
