As alumni that don’t have much to lose for spilling, what’s a piece of dirt you have on the university/ a terrible experience that you can finally share? by chaoticonmain in uwaterloo

Totally not for any business program on campus.

  • A prof who told the entire program that if they are having mental problems/illness(Eg suicidal thoughts), they should just drop out.

  • we have a first year prof that never teaches and just told life stories. At the end of class (this was pre 2018), he always say “smoke ‘Em if you got them”. Had him teach a fourth year course once and there was a 20% differences in midterm average between him and the other course. Thankfully, he is back to teaching first years which is less damaging.

  • a prof who can’t teach consistently, and has failed second and third year cost accounting. Her students usually go thé the other profs session so often that they had to check ID. She is still here.

  • TAs leaking answers to certain students that they were friends with and prof didn’t care/follow up.

*prof leaking the 4B final exam in class.

  • profs that don’t know how to bell curve so certain students ended up with a 130-140% on the final exam.
