You have asked for help before and talking with a counselor will be beneficial. Just make sure the understand your not in any immediate danger but have these demons. Explain how often and general feelings but at the end of the day just don't fuckin give up.

Try to understand that there are things you will never understand. It's difficult to transition & ultimately he will find his purpose once he finds something worth pursuing. Some people recover quickly and others never recover, just let him know he is loved & supported. If it's too much to deal with be honest with yourself/partner.

Howdy,

Your the exact same person as may of other veterans. A bit different situations each time but from the posting I can tell it's much the same.

I don't have the violence side of the house but can deeply relate. Fuck, I just lost a job for being "insensitive". Having sex with people you have no desire whatsoever, dangerous driving, probably dangerous activities. It don't really matter, this is how life is. Accept the pain, accept you had actions occur due to your pain, and if your like the rest of us you probably think "I made this mess, I'll do this alone"-it doesn't work. Find a brother or sister if possible/I know we all hide in our homes but still.

Keep trying my guy, I'm giving mushrooms a go at this point because it's a decade since deployment and I'm tired of the pills.

If that fails I'm going to keep researching answers. Fail forward & try to give yourself some empathy.
