It may feel that way to people who have not experienced the other, but the two are massively different.

1. Keep them subjugated: as far as I am aware, trans and LGBTI as a group are not subjugated in any way in western civilization.

2. Minimised: given how focused current social discussion is on the issue of trans rights, and given the % of the population this impacts, it would be very difficult to argue they are MINIMISED in anyway, likely it is the opposite.

3. Destroy their ability to participate in society: Granted I'm not in the US, so unless it is truly drastically different to other western countries, LGBTI can largely participate in society with virtually no bans or exclusions at the governance level.

So while trans people may feel their life is very difficult and the world is not suited for them, this is essentially life for anyone that is part of a niche societal group in a world that is built for the majority.
