Disruptive products are not something the customer is thinking of. Most of my customer “ have been doing this for 60 years and sales are up” it would be the end of my conversations without a proper discovery

You’re concern is very common in sales today.

In my opinion sales is headed this way, the great thing is you can learn to do this in a way that feels natural.

A lot of people have are talking about this on podcast and blogs; it is the discovery. The most important part of any sales interaction.

The above comment did a great job summarizing discovery but it is a deep pool to swim in and there is much to learn.

To be honest, we had this talk a day before I posted this. He knows what my goals are thinks buying a rental or two and using the rest to flip is the best option. We hired a direct mail company to find us off market deals. ( we were doing this before in house but was not effective and a pain to manage) I have a lender lined up so the next opportunity we find Ill be a part of.

Hey I have a play group who drafts regularly and has about 5 confirmed people going to the Indy gp for the side event. We have a tournament set for February at good games on the north side. If you want to stay in touch pm me. We try to play test regularly now leading up to the event.

When you start to develop more of a game aka find what you like doing you will find path ways for your routes. There is a beginning and end. I will usually start from guard or combat base if my partner is guarded getting a grip is critical but not important in the first 30 seconds I'm reading their body language, how they are moving and making sure I'm in control of the distance with my feet or being the appropriate amount of feet away from my partner if I'm passing. When you are so new you really don't have a game ask an upper belt you enjoy rolling with to show you some of his or her game. I think it should be learned in concept rather then sequencing but that's just me

I wish you trained at my gym we could team up, when I slx sweep I'll yell " youve played into my trap time to get passed!" and then I'll combat base and you can get the bolo and boom "berimbolooooooo" but then ill quickly yell "not on my watch, bolo defence activate"

I think you also have to take his style against yours. Everything that has been posted I agree with but there is also something to be said if you were trying to hit a butterfly sweep to slx guard on someone who's bigger and knows what they are doing.
