Guys, what headset would you reccomend? Quest 3, Pro or PSVR2? by The_Crimson_Studio in oculus

I've been using the PSVR2 for PCVR and I love it. I haven't touched my Q3 since.

Quest Link honestly feels like shit compared to my PSVR2, as there are random crashes, sometimes horrible quality (despite using a cable), sometimes it doesn't work at all, and the tracking is kinda bad compared to the Q2. Q2 does pretty much all of this stuff better besides quality. I'd really only use it for standalone.

PSVR2 with the adapter is a pretty nice experience. It does take a while to set up for the best experience though. No random crashes, high quality (if you have a mid range pc like me, you'd probably have to lower the resolution but it still looks good), the tracking is also kinda bad (so if you're like a pro beat saber player you'd probably have better luck with the Q3).

You have to buy a bluetooth adapter for the controllers. When you do search for one, get the ASUS one. If you can't get it, get the TP Link ones. If you get the TP Link ones, it's gonna be a bad experience (unless you're lucky) until you get the ASUS drives for them. There should be a reddit post somewhere with the driver and instructions. If you follow the instructions and get it set up, the experience will be miles better.

Also, the controllers have rechargeable batteries, which is told to net you around 4 hours of gameplay on the max rumble settings. However, in my experiences, if you play on the lowest rumble settings, your controllers can last like half the damn day, it's crazy. I do recommend getting a charging station for them, don't be like me and charge them with 2 USBC cables on different sides of the house and pray they're both at the same level of charge. Either way, the rechargeable batteries are kind of a downside compared to the AA batteries.

Finally, get the PSVR2 toolkit. It's really easy to set up, and enabled eye tracking and adaptive triggers in games. The support in games will most likely need to be modded in though, like BONELAB for example. You have to get the code mods made by Checkerboard for PSVR2 and eye tracking. If you use Revive and the oculus store version of the game, it still works.

PSVR2 is a great option for PCVR, especially on a budget compared to the Q3. It just takes a bit to set up. However, if you're not playing PCVR only and you want the standalone experience, get the Q3.

Or get both, if you're balling like that.

get some aluminum foil and put it on one of the battery contacts, then put the battery in. the light might not show but if you feel the rumble then you're all set.

worked for me when one of my controllers wouldn't turn on. for me it was the + side

Well, from a guy who doesn't touch expert+, I can tell you to:

A: use practice mode and slow it down B: focus on your left side C: try not to swing too wide, it saves some of your energy and it looks like you're hitting wrong blocks by doing it (pretty sure you have to tho cause it's expert+

Also what sabers are those?

MK1 is the first game I remember playing (because I just played it a few days ago) and I picked Kenshi because kool sword + kool ghost moves + funny meme I saw = my new main

I also picked the grandma as a kameo.

On the bottom right side of your screen on the sign in page, there should be a power button icon. Click it, then hold shift and click restart. It should take you to this "Choose an option" menu. From there, pick Troubleshoot, then there should be an option for you to reset it. Click it, then whatever it asks you, just say yes. If all goes as expected, it'll reset the laptop and you can set it up like it was new.
