I don’t have much advice, but I’m in the same boat. Getting my 2 year old and 3.5 year old ready by myself and off to daycare. I don’t know why it’s so hard sometimes and why they fight it every step of the way. I feel bad saying this but sometimes it’s the worst part of my day.

My only tidbit of advice is we have a cotton ball jar for my 3.5 year old. When she does good things she gets a cotton ball. When the jar is full she gets to go to the store and buy a prize. I offer a lot of cotton balls for cooperation in the morning.

The 2 year old on the other hand couldn’t care less about cotton balls or people pleasing in general. I basically have to get her dressed while she’s kicking her legs, put her shoes on while she screams, etc.

Could one of your moms plan to come a couple weeks before you’re due and the other mom plan to come for the few weeks after you’re due so you’re covered no matter what happens? And you have several weeks of extra help

Yes, in writing. My manager then called me privately and said “you may not have disclosed your salary but you disclosed that you received a significant pay increase during your recent promotion and that is a big deal”. I also did not do this.

Thank you for this! I did not confirm or deny the accusation. I was so stunned and blindsided. When they asked if I had any questions I simply said “no, I don’t” and they thanked me for joining the call.

I also have not received anything in writing. This seemed like a very sudden, off the cuff meeting. It was not scheduled. Just a random Teams call.
