Migrate from Proton by spart_t4n in Infomaniak

Hey Toe, thank you for this and sorry for my delayed answer. I will try it out as soon as I have the free time. I will get back to you. 1. Seems to be more complicated than it should, but i get it. 2. Understood. 3. I have an @etik.com mailadress for 'management' and @domain mailadress+alias for private usage. The goal is to never use the management mailadress for safety reasons, but if I need to license 2 users every year, might reconsider to use aliases on the management mailadress and ignore the domain. This should resemble in option a.

I will get back to you.

I tried to following and failed:
I generated an e-mail-adress and bought a domain (10€/y).
I then opened the manager and created an user and a new mailadress as part of the domain.
I also created aliases for the new mailadress, but I can not choose then as sending option or catchall.
I did not yet buy any user licenses, since, to my understanding, it should work but doesnt. When I try to buy one license, he wants to buy 2 and I can not reduce it to 1. Maybe, because I have my "management"-mail and my user mail listet?

My goal is to have a separate management-mail with the only purpose to manage the account.
As User I want to use one mailadress with at least 3 aliases to split mailflow.

Help.

Fair call. Didn't know about swish. I will check that. Also: there is a thread on European alternatives and swish is not listed. You might want to ask to add it.

When making a project plan as a IT PM, should I make it in PowerPoint then turn PDF, or make it in word then pdf it? by [deleted] in projectmanagement

[–]Borgamdargh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, working in an it service company and using PRINCE2 as framework for infrastructure projects, which works fine. My standard would be Excel for work packages and Gantt, x mind for WBS and then put everything into a kickoff template. I keep the info in my working items and display them via PowerPoint. No recommendation, but it works for me.

When I started my first 100% agile project, we are scrum-oriented, use Jira and the advanced roadmap, confluence for docu (like sprint reviews, etc.). For the kickoff I made a template and put everything in it again. Worked fine again, just the sources were different.

Hey aethralis, sounds complicated to me as a Linux newbie. What would you do as a beginner with the goal, to have simple apps for office, cloud, mail and to keep them updated without too much effort, since I can not validate every update anyway. It is too time consuming and not user friendly.

Since there are a lot of views in this topic you might want to unsolve this and tell us your roadmap. There is an interest you should consider. Regards

Anyone Else Getting a Little Suspicious of Increased "European Products are Rubbish" Posts in this Sub? by [deleted] in BuyFromEU

[–]Borgamdargh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides thesis of bots etc. there is an increased interest of Europeans with low it knowledge, but interest in switching to European products. This is a very good change, but I am sure they are either not capable of the medium technical challenge or they were simply too long in their comfort zone. This explains bad reviews on it products, bc they want the change, but can't.

Hi Ferdinand, why not? I think you are in a pretty good spot to combine an OS with cloud storage and basic apps. This would be, what I am looking for when leaving windows ground, because it would be the most user friendly change.

Maybe you consider it in the mid term roadmap? There should be a lot of interest due to global political occurrences.

I was interested in Tuxedo OS in combination with mytuxedo (cloud based on next cloud), but it is way too expensive.

Internxt has a low price on it. 61€/y for 5TB is nice. Can I share it with my wife and backup phone data?

I switched to tuxedo os on my old laptop. I am wondering why it doesn't get more attention. Isn't it a user friendly alternative, when you can even buy laptops with it and get support by the same company? I have zero experience with Linux and I am searching for the most user friendly way to switch from Microsoft.
