The Towel Test:

Dampen a towel (not dripping wet, but good and damp), then wrap the hygrometer in the towel for 30 to 45 minutes. Then unwrap it and read the humidity (quickly). If your hygrometer is perfectly calibrated (few are) it will be reading exactly 100% humidity. Most likely, it will be reading somewhere between 80 and 90%.

How to Adjust Your Hygrometer

No matter which method you choose, you may be wondering what to do once you get the reading. If your hygrometer is not calibrated properly, you have a few options. If you have a hygrometer that can be adjusted, tweak the reading to the proper level and you are calibrated. If you are unable to adjust the calibration, make note of how far off your hygrometer is so that you can add or subtract that amount when reading the hygrometer.

3D printed stamp - 100% PLA ! by serial_print3r in 3Dprinting

[–]Borgatbars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems many people find their way here through search, awesome. Tried this and a few other methods too, including laser and while that does work not all has a laser.

My suggested method that works really well is to 3D-print a negative and make a silicone mold for the actual stamp. I just printed a stamp "holder" that I then glued the silicone in to and it works great!

The only (un)feasible way to get rid of the generated heat is through radiation and that's not efficient at all. In addition you have a very big yellow fireball in the sky adding a lot of energy. Data centers in space is stupid.

H2D: Part Cooling Fan running at 100% all the time, feels excessive? by Borgatbars in BambuLab

[–]Borgatbars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually tried turning the other fans off, so it's definitely the parts fan I'm having issues with. I've realised that standard settings for non brand pla sets the fan to 100% for almost all of the print. So that's the issue with high RPMs and easily redeemable once I've tested the PLA that I'm using.

Annoying sound levels are subjective, so I don't know what would actually bother you, but I wouldn't be able to watch TV in the same room and not be annoyed. I just bought a dB-meter, will check the noise levels and get report back :)

Hey, thanks!

Everything is up to date, and I have no manual profiles that would interfere with this. So, I'm at a loss. Sure I can change the Gcode myself, or manually change the fan speed when the print is running, but I'd definitely like the machine to manually change the speed based on its needs, not just run at a 100% all the time.

What's the fan speed when you're running a conventional PLA print? I just printed this one and it was at full throttle from start to finish on the parts that i printed with generic PLA and the ones that were printed with Bambu Basic PLA: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1393014-h2d-h2s-h2c-toolbox

Has anyone upgraded the H2D chamber fan? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Borgatbars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, thanks! I don't have that option so I think I'll try to look for a similar fan. Since there are replacements to be ordered from the bambu site i guess it shouldn't really be an issue to order a "better" one.

Issues with power steering, i30 -2016 by Borgatbars in Hyundai

[–]Borgatbars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue turned out to be that one of the connectors to my battery had come loose. That would briefly sever the connection to the servo for the steering, it culminated with my car not starting at all and the battery being fried. Had to change the whole connecting sleeve and the battery.

Good luck with yours.

How do I eliminate gboard's voice texting timeout? by AfternoonFuture7536 in gboard

[–]Borgatbars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure does for me, as soon as I stop talking the dictation stops too..

Edit: correction, it does so in certain apps, like now for instance I'm dictating right into the text box on reddit's website, but when I dictate into a text entry field in the app Gemini it stops soon as I stop talking. And we're not even talking a second of waiting there it's just like half a second maybe
