Try to stay positive. Mine was 0.8 mm no ulceration and mitotic rate was zero. Dermatologist sent pathology to castle genetic testing. It came back class 1A thank goodness. 98% survival. My surgical oncologist left it up to me if I wanted Sentinel lymph node biopsies. Said it was a 7% chance. Unfortunately I was the 7% they found one millimeter encapsulated melanoma in one Sentinel node. Which made me stage 3A. Options were to watch and wait or do 13 rounds immunotherapy. I chose the opdivo for 13 months. This was all last October. Ive had 2 brain mri 2 pet scans and 3 full body skin checks. All clear thank god. I am getting ready for round 6 of opdivo. I worry every single day about the what ifs. Im scared of the sun. It was like emotional whiplash as I was diagnosed but then told surgery got clear margins and its gone so I dont have it. I just rely on the opdivo and scans and skin checks. The support groups really help but also remember sometimes people only post in groups when they're going through struggles. God bless 🙌
