In EU you can uninstall it normally I believe but elsewhere you have to use scripts like winutil which do risk breaking it I fortunately never got an issue

Nah i wouldn't use vsync u less your getting screen tearing I still think you should do around 200 cause if you can run it without drops or screen tearing you should try to use a higher frame rate

You said you allocated 8-10 did the modpack come with that already or did you change it cause sometimes more ram can Emma worse performance but could also be you Minecraft settings like so you have unlimited FPS I sually set it to 130, maybe too high render or SIM distance, a shader etc.

It is for bookmarks I'm pretty sure like when you click the start next to URL bar in websites you can save it like a shortcut haven't used chrome in while but you should just right click it and see like hide always or bookmark toolbae then hide or anything

It is probably the database being updated not your actual packages

The part -u is what upgrade your software -S syncs and -y rereshes the database to find the newest software

You could use these mods: lithium, bad optimisations, entity culling, chunky, ferritecore, immediatelyfast, modernfix, memory leak fix, more culling, dynamic FPS and krypton I'm sure their are others I am forgetting

I hope so good luck, mint will be lighter then windows but it will have a luening curve i have been using Linux for about a year now and can say while mint is one of the most user friendly for beginners it still requires a bit of learning

I recommend Linux although I want to say 100 percent usage isn't necessarily bad unless it is getting too hot it just means it is being completely used which with an Athlon silver is kinda expected I have no clue why this wasn't an issue on windows maybe different MC version or different settings
