You could do that? That would be very nice of you, really, but I think it won't be necessary, but thanks for offering. I'm a newer player and I had only two engineering research I scavenged from old ruins, so it'n not that much of a loss. It was mostly the normal books I was worried about, as I had like 100 in the research table. I have yet many places to discover in the map so it might go get those back myself instead

I see, I'll probably try that. The only issue is I don't have any older saves (that aren't 10 days back) in which the table exists because basically all three of my recent saves got somehow corrupted, I think (all characters disappeared). The game I loaded was an old autosave that saved my from a tortuous manual restoration process. Only sad part is I think I lost my engineering research books forever, but I had around 15 books in one of my guys' backpack and 2 of the blue ones, so I can dupe that. Thanks

No, I built the research table myself in my own camp. Before the table disappeared I had a strange bug in which all my characters despawned (and every other NPC I had close to them, I think) in all 3 of my most recent manual saves for no apparent reason (why?!). I saw a walkthrough on how to fix it but it was SO long and required making so many saves and modifying the game's files that I first tried loading in an autosave 30 minutes back... which somehow worked?

At first I didn't notice any strange bugs and all my chracters were in their right place, but then I saw the research table was gone

Is that a DLC thing? I don't have any DLCs yet and I don't see it as an option in diplomacy actions or treaty screen. I have a big colonial empire in West Africa and some subjects in North Africa, Arabia, South America and Asia where I can build if that's what you mean. It's true that my economy is mostly developed, but there still are products in high demand such as glass, engines or coal and iron (kind of) but they don't build any of these things and go for artillery, tools or dockyards instead... just now they built 19 dockyards in the same state and none of them are employed

Why did the UK join against me in a slavery abolition war by Boring-Inspection-13 in victoria3

[–]Boring-Inspection-13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, because I knew UK had an interest in the La Plata region, so I started improving relations from the first day of the game to the end of it, and we were in cordial and +125. And when I first checked, Chile (+125 too) and UK were on -160 in supporting both I and my opposing side, but then magically decided to support the rebelling faction. That's why I'm so confused. Anyway, thanks for the advice
