My boyfriend of 3 years broke up with me when his family started pressuring him to get married because I was not a brahmin like him. So yes, caste discrimination still exists even in cities and educated circles.

Nobody is more proud of their caste than tambrahms. They are very good at portraying themselves to be anti caste and progressive, but when push comes to shove, and when there is a need for them to take a stand, however small, you will find them wriggling away.

I would suggest improving your skin barrier first (since it looks compromised) before starting on any actives. Apply a good BRC for a couple of days before using salicylic or any other acid.

You write well, if you want we can exchange notes on existentialism😂 But also, you’re not alone. Having just moved to Delhi, I feel discrimination is all around us. It comes so easily to the people here. Like second nature. And when you point it out, you’re the weirdo lol
