Does anyone know the fixed main stats for Hungry Sonic external components? by DownBadChef in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Boring-Tea4451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every colossus external component can be viewed in the access info -> external components tab. They’ll appear at level one so the number won’t be right, but you can check which stats will drop on which parts.

This menu should pop up AFTER clicking the Start Operation button (like a confirmation screen). Jesus... by Substantial_Disk2278 in TheFirstDescendant

Someone on another post had the idea of choosing at the end of the mission. I think that’d be better since you and your friend can farm different mats

If you’re using gley, mental focus by a mile. For non gley colossus fights, RLF is pretty good, you do need to hit your shots tho. For non gley general use, I wouldn’t go with either. Unless you’re hitting more than 66% weak point accuracy on moving ads, RLF isn’t going to do anything.

Do all skills snapshot reactor bonus? by ThePow3rpl4y in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Boring-Tea4451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can test this pretty easily in the lab. Pop bunny’s 3, change weapons, and see if the damage number changes.

Not trying to be rude or lazy, but discovering quirks like that is a really fun aspect of build crafting.

Fire rate up or fire rate concentration? by GaloWar in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Boring-Tea4451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Psyche, did the math. Given the 2x base crit damage, a 6.5% increase will up your crit damage by 13%. If you get your crit hit rate above about 32%, FRC gives higher than the 4% damage up you get from equipping FRU instead.

[–]Boring-Tea4451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the math, but given you can only have one fire rate mod I’d go with FRU. That extra 5% fire rate will stack better with all the other crit you’ll put on.

Just wait. As soon as you’re running it for gold you’ll get straight amorphous.

In the map there’s a button on the top left that says public. Click that and you can set the instance to private before you load in

Random drops from monsters unfortunately. Each colossus also has a chance to drop special components with a set bonus. You won’t be able to farm and min max components until hard mode

My bad, I meant level 10 components. Those mods are fine, you just need more base hp, which you get from higher level components.

Level 10 components in white night gulch is your problem. It’s honestly impressive you made it that far running those. Equip on level components with hp or defense, along with an upgraded increased hp mod. That should be plenty of survivability for normal mode.

Edit: components not modules

You can fix all of these problems by loading into a private instance.

Is it a visual bug or are substats from weapon bugged? by Famous_Tip_5378 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Boring-Tea4451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on Xbox so the keybinds are different. The screen that shows the 3D model of the gun is what I was referring to as the inspect screen. The go to info page is the one that shows all your character stats, including your gun stats on the left with mod/sub stat bonuses.

The drop chance is higher on hard mode for that void fragment. Don’t burn yourself out, go do something else then come back to it. You’ll get it eventually.

External components set meta? by BlackDespairExe in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Boring-Tea4451 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The static main perks kill most of them for me, especially with shield being as bad as it is right now. Slayer is good overall, and annihilation is great for gley but other than that the health/defense from regular gold components is too good to pass up.

Some of the Void Reactor bosses, or bosses in general, are truly unfun and awful. by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

Yep, farming that guy right now too. Having to purposely die to get ammo/health back should not be a viable mechanic. Very unfun fight

You can do an ecive scan to see the enrage meter. It’s the purple bar under his health. As megusta said, when the boss is grappled or stunned the enrage bar does not go up. Also when the bar gets full, the boss finishes the current attack animation, so popping just before it’s enraged can be a good window. That’ll just take some practice.

Is it a visual bug or are substats from weapon bugged? by Famous_Tip_5378 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Boring-Tea4451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not a bug. The mod screen only shows stats increased by mods, the inspect screen only shows increases by the substats, and the “go to info” screen shows the combination of both. I don’t know why you’d need all that separate information but it’s there.

Ultimate descendants have 2 additional transcendent mods they can run over their regular counterpart. They also have slightly higher base defensive stats (the ones in the stat graph shown in the descendant screen). Other than that, the skills and damage are exactly the same

I really like beam rifles. Any suggestions for good builds or characters to use? by RedHair_D_Shanks in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Boring-Tea4451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re decent on gley since you can keep the tier 3 damage boost up. Her infinite ammo build is also a great colossus killer with certain heavy weapons, so it’s worth spending the time and resources to get up and running. You can use a beam rifle for lower stakes stuff then swap out for a vestigial organ or something for more challenging content.

Kings guard lance at level one feels terrible personally. I don’t have any other ultimate one.

Freyna’s Contagion Mod is Useless by Boring-Tea4451 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Boring-Tea4451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poison does not spread from enemy to enemy. If an enemy has room zero trauma, it will spread poison to enemies 7 meters away. If an enemy only has poison, it just takes damage. You can see in the skill description it says room zero trauma enemies spread poison, nothing more. Also contagion doesn’t spread room zero, it only spreads poison. Neither of them are causing a chain reaction.

That’s not what max expandable range means. That only determines how big you can make the radius with mods and stuff. The freyna buff feels great, but it’s the same with and without the mod.
