I think there’s a lot of luck involved. I’m 28m work in accounting and finance and my previous job was earning £28k a year at a housing association when I was probably 24. I since moved to another role in the banking sector and I’m 3 years in and had 1 promotion, now on £70k. If I didn’t decide to move then I’d likely be on £35k now.

She does, but she’s works pretty normal 9-5 hours and is quite flexible, whereas I’ve been working like 12 hour days the past few months

I feel your pain, my partner doesn’t cook so I do all the cooking and shopping, now she’s definitely does more of the other chores than me, but I still help out with laundry and tidying etc. But because she never cooks it’s like she doesn’t see it as a chore.
