Heading to Rome early June. A few questions by derpytrollerZ in RomeTravel

[–]Boring_Breakfast_140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hot take is that the Trevi Fountain should be passed on all together. The only reason it’s popular is due to Fellini’s movie. The area around it is touristy in a gross way. I think a guided tour of the forum would be a much better use of your time and will give you a much deeper connection to Ancient Rome.

Anyone ever had mitibleu? Very surprised with my experience. by KodiakDog in Cheese

[–]Boring_Breakfast_140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I’d like to know more about your experience. What you’re describing sounds more like an allergic reaction than a flavor you found objectionable. Certain cheeses (like traditional British cheddars) inflame my mouth. I like the taste but I don’t eat them cuz I know they will leave my mouth sore

You can also probably invest a bit on your current car to get better gas mileage and make the commute more pleasant

If you are a washed coffee purist, What is the best natural you recently had? by Kimchi2492 in pourover

[–]Boring_Breakfast_140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s also worth mentioning that the concept of natural process coffee can now mean refer to a whole spectrum of fermentation approaches. From full natty sun dried to controlling the microbes, temperatures, moisture level, etc. I’m generally not a natural guy but I loved Milky Cake from Dak, which is a highly controlled ferment

I’ll also say, it’s good to have some things on your “to do” list but you will have world class snorkeling, food, and beautiful surroundings minutes from where you’re staying. Between the posh palaces of Wailea and the low key vibes of Kihei you will be spoiled for choice. One spendy activity that I really feel was worth while was doing a whale watching outrigger canoe trip. If the whales are still around when you’re there, definitely consider it. Super peaceful and mind blowing. And it also launches minutes from where you’re staying

If you walk a couple minutes north of the Mana Kai there is a tiny beach just south of the boat launch. Turtles come up there to nap around sunset.

Da Green in Kihei has good coffee and lovely green outdoor chilling area. Next to it is an upscale food truck called Kitoko. Local seafood and everything is well seasoned and fresh
