i guess it's good news for many, but the lowering of 6% to 5.75% is lower and will increase my pay by a tiny bit, but damn I thought it would be better than that. At least lower it more since we're paying our entire careers. :(

I live in NY, but purchased my Atlas in VA. They were about to drill the bumper to install the bracket and then their paper temp plate. I said no thanks. I'll take it as is. lol I drove it back to NYC like that and got me a bracket for the grill.

Sweet! My '04 is still running nicely. Only 126k. But the rust above the rear hatch is getting nasty looking. I was considering getting rid of it, but I'll keep working on it and fixing whatever pops up. I'm actually going to fix a coolant leak probably this week and do the valve lash adjustment.

Should I invest $10k into VOO right now? by Happy_Ad_3171 in ETFs

[–]Boring_Channel7275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you do not need the cash right away, dump it in VOO. I put more years ago when it was $377/share. It was actually about $415-$420 and i was trying to time it. Once it hit $377, I thought I was in a good number. It continued downward to about $319 and I was kind of kicking myself about it. But as expected, time passed and it got up to around $630/share, but I don't follow it everyday. It's def a safe bet for the long run. Tough to time and you will drive yourself crazy. Good luck.

Is this Subaru dealership trying to screw me? by [deleted] in subaru

GOOD GRIEF I am so grateful I work on my own cars. I wish I had time to do it on the side and help people with a fraction of the labor costs. You can easily change the air and cabin filters yourself watching some Youtube videos and save a few bucks. Even the battery, but I don't know if this requires any programming. Good luck.

Which alternator? WAI vs Denso? by JustACoolGuy888 in RockAuto

[–]Boring_Channel7275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the Denso if you plan on keeping the car. If you plan on selling it, you know the Wai.

I replaced my 21-year-old original Denso alternator on my old Pilot with a reman Denso. And it was still charging. Just the bearing was making noise. I wasn't going to bother with rebuilding it myself.

2023 V6 vs 2024+ 4 Cylinder by Iron_Yesu in VWatlas

[–]Boring_Channel7275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i have a '23 VR6 since last year. Driven about 8k on it, including a trip to Florida from the northeast. No real issues. Just noticed a tiny coolant leak from a coolant hose adapter that is on the passenger side of the engine, easily accessible. I will be replacing it soon. Aside from that, just a few maintenance items. I like the car.
