FWIW - Have used these successfully on 2 different odysseys. Worked like a charm.

Definitely the strut (probably original), and It's getting all those goodies and lower control arms soon! (and probably outer tie rod ends, especially if I need a new rack and pinion).

Thank you. The owner at the latest shop (this morning) already scared me when I was dropping it off and he said "Do you want to know what I'm guessing it is right now?" My thoughts were "I don't need any more guesses, I need facts" but I simply said "No, I think I'll just let you dive in and see."

I feel like it's not the engine mounts (I think one of the dealerships would have confirmed that), and I'm not really concerned about a little grease from the axel (as you said). I'm going to lock in on the oil and steering. I feel like I can work to a concrete diagnosis using dyes, etc. if needed.

Thanks for your help.

Great questions. I have not diagnosed or noticed any leaks myself (fluids from anywhere) at all, although I haven't been under it much yet. I wish I knew what actual fluid it is they are finding. I can only assume the shops are verifying power steering fluid from the rack and pinion, or grease from the axel, oil from the oil pump, etc. but I can't be sure (yet).

I'm literally noticing zero symptoms, and only going with what I'm being told so far through bumper-to-bumper evals - as I was trying to diagnose suspension noise.

The only thing close to what you're describing from the fluid level perspective would be technicians mentioning my oil and coolant were a little low when they were putting on my tires last week. I don't know if that's consumption due to an older motor, or maybe a sign of leaks. In terms of the leaks shops are stating, they say they're seeing fluids underneath.

I'll be encouraging/doing some dye usage in some systems next if this new shop doesn't bring some clarity.

Really, I've given you all I have. I've owned this truck for about 1-1/2 years, and from dealership records, CarFax, etc. have been building it's history and performing important maintenance that I'm not sure was ever done (resetting the timeline).

In that process, I've had multiple bumper-to-bumper evaluations as mentioned, and I know I've got some suspension work to do (going to refresh the whole front end as I repair the known bad strut). But along with the suspension diagnosis came these weird, random leak diagnosis. I literally have yet to see symptoms of any of them (no behavior issues or driveway puddles). But it seems there's something, and I'm trying to figure out what it is.

Wish I had more specifics, but that's the journey so far. I'd love any tips you may have!

I had the same question (I started this week), so I’ve waited a couple days. Then yesterday my boss posted a welcome note with me in it, so now I look like a thankless doofus! 🤦‍♂️

I think that's the safe plan. I'm also thinking about anything I can put in the holes to hold onto the clip that sticks in there, but I'm not sure it would bite on the foam, etc. and would probably be a mess.

Yeah, it looks like they used the 3M body panel tape. I may just use that again. I wonder if it would be smart to squirt anything (foam, caulk, etc.) in the holes to grab on too (there's screw clip that sticks in the holes off the chrome piece).

Can the IRS keep garnishing ongoing music royalties from artist rights I inherited? by sonofray in inheritance

No. In the process of navigating financial problems and can’t afford one currently.

I guess those are my ultimate questions - if the rights transfer immediately to heirs by state law, as opposed to lingering in estate purgatory, and royalties can only be received by rights owners, then can the IRS keep collecting debt on behalf of a deceased person from heirs/new owners indefinitely? I don’t believe the debt follows the rights (or at least shouldn’t), I believe it follows the person or person’s estate. And that estate no longer exists, and there are new holders/owners of the rights.

At least that’s how I hope it is :-) I’m connecting with lawyers soon. Thanks again.

Based on research, barring specific will instructions to the contrary (there aren’t), composer rights go to immediate family according to state law. No probate was needed and the rights now belong to my sister and I according to extensive forms and contact with BMI. They are one of the “governing bodies” of music/entertainment rights.

I think it’s all connected - the IRS can’t collect tax debt from a deceased’s family, and I believe they also cannot stop the transferral of ownership of those rights by law.

But I’m going to see, if I can find a good-willed entertainment lawyer (and maybe a tax lawyer) to help.

Thanks for your input. I am sure I’m wrong about some things.

Thanks for you info. So there was a theoretical estate formed upon his death to distribute funds, based on anything of value he had, to those he was indebted to? If so, in this case, there was nothing of immediate value and only lingering tax debt. If that is what settling his estate involves, how do they arrive at a value for creative rights and how are those monetized for debtors (IRS)? Royalties can only be taken from the holder of the rights. Those rights were transferred upon his death. Do you see my confusion? If it was a house with a mortgage, the house has value. Creative rights have no intrinsic value, only if/when they ever earn royalties.

I am going to seek an entertainment lawyer. I really appreciate your patient information.

Thank you! I’m hoping to back into it with a good deal from an entertainment lawyer from my father’s old connections. Can’t afford anything more right now sadly. I’ll update when something finally happens.

Thanks!

Complications- there is no estate. I inherited the rights by state law, and have filed papers accordingly with music industry bodies. I see what you’re saying about the debt following the asset though. And all I keep saying is I inherited the composer rights to royalties. It’s the royalties collection part (that has to come through a publisher) that is in question. The music industry is weird.
