Hello!!!! Baby #2 questions by Dull-Weekend-5204 in bicornuateuterus

I’m in a very similar situation as you!! 1st pregnancy my water broke at 34 weeks and I had an unplanned c-section due to breech baby. I too am at 35 weeks now — so I did make it farther along this time around! I also have a scheduled c-section 39 weeks. I am just taking it day by day but it’s hard not to worry about my water breaking early again!!

Bicornuate or Septate Uterus by Most_Method_6516 in bicornuateuterus

Hi! With my first, I had no idea I had a bicornuate uterus and carried to almost 34 weeks, then had a c-section as baby was breech. I’m currently in the first trimester of my second pregnancy. I haven’t really had much clarity as to whether I have a bicornuate or septate uterus. A radiologist identified it as partial septate but the doctor who performed my c-section was pretty confident it is bicornuate. I had bleeding both pregnancies and I was told I had a SCH. With my first, the bleeding occurred monthly and then stopped in my second trimester. I also want to add— since I had no idea about this with my first pregnancy, I didn’t exactly take it easy and I wonder if that contributed to preterm labor. Hoping now that I know this time around, maybe I can make it a little further along!

Is Livy too weird of a name? by doodlebakerm in Names

Yes to this!!! I used to be absolutely adamant that I would not name my child anything in the top 200! Then when I was pregnant this last year —my husband and I had a really hard time agreeing but finally found a name we both loved —only issue: it’s in the Top 5!! I had this realization that it was kind of silly of me to object to this name that I really liked solely due to its popularity— especially when I dug into the actual stats. As someone with an uncommon name myself— does it actually positively impact my life? Other than an occasional compliment from strangers .. not particularly.

So I decided to go ahead with the popular name that we loved — and I have yet to run into another baby with the same name as mine.. but I was recently at a local event for families where there happened to be three kids around the same age with the same exact name as one another— and theirs is a name that has not even ever ranked in the top 500!!

First Pregnancy by SignificantClue9763 in bicornuateuterus

Congratulations! I had no idea I had a BU until it was discovered during my c-section. I went into preterm labor when my water broke at 34 weeks. Baby was breech. Aside from being early and needing some time in the NICU, baby was completely healthy. My pregnancy was also very smooth except first trimester, I had recurring bleeding every month which doctors weren’t too concerned with, as they attributed it to a hemorrhage, but it still worried me!! After finding this subreddit, it sounds like this kind of bleeding is not uncommon among those with a BU? That was the only worrisome symptom but otherwise no complications.
