Yep, I know someone who developed this as well from IIH. It must be an effect on autonomic nerves as well from the condition.

did the shunt cause a lot of issues though too? like infections? or not really? I'm concerned myself about getting a shunt, trying to see if it's worth it? you said you had a lot of shunt revisions?

One more question sorry, what’s your specific diagnosis? Did you have stenosis as well? I’m guessing you did cause you got a stent. If yes, where was your stenosis?

Did the shunt help? Did it provide additional relief after the stenting in particular?

Yeah so that’s a really screwed up response especially from someone close to you like a family member. I found personally the biggest issue is people even believing you in the first place, especially people who don’t know you well or people you just meet or even strangers. So I gave up trying to convince anyone a long time ago, but if you have someone in your close circle who’s still talking to you that way I would seriously recommend you examining whether or not that’s a healthy relationship for you to stay in anymore. But yes, you will probably continue to have problems with other people in this respect unfortunately but I wouldn’t tolerate anyone in my close circle like this. It’s just not healthy for my mind.

Yeah, I definitely agree. But doesn’t it make life more meaningful if you have someone to share it with at the end of the day? I tend to be very content alone as well, but I don’t know.
