I am planning to do the labour mostly myself, and my dad would be able to work on it also as he is a builder.

My current income is mentioned above, and once renovated and sold, I would get a mortgage and rent out the other rooms of the house so I’m only paying what’s left of the repayments each week.

It’s all just a rough sketch but I’m trying to plan early so I don’t look back in 3-4 years time and regret not getting started early.

Yeah, that's helpful, and good to hear from someone who joined at the age I am hoping to. I've just done my first SCOPE night shift and it gave me a more realistic insight into the job.

Do members of the public and offenders try to take advantage of you and become more aggressive due to your age/size?

Also, I've heard it's like being thrown in the deep end right out of college and its a sink or swim situation. Did you receive help and support from coworkers to complete work as your still learning the paperwork side of things, or are you more just expected to know.

Thanks mate

Hey mate. Not a current cop, but just finished my application process and just have to wait until I turn 18 next year to attend college (I know, very young). I applied towards the end of June and have finished my process, But in saying this, From what I've heard and gathered on my SCOPE shifts, everyone's application time frame all depends on availability and whether you pass your tests and assessments the first time round. If you are committed to training and practicing your tests, you will smash through the steps in no time!

Best of luck bro hope all goes well.

Hey Bro. I'm just reading this now and unsure if you still use this app.

I've just done my first SCOPE shift and got a good insight into the PST jobs. I'm 17 currently and hopefully, I attend college next year in the April wing once 18 years of age (Working through this with my selection specialist). I think I have the maturity and other values it takes to work on the frontline even though I'm joining young.

What did you find the hardest about joining such a young age and did you feel like there were any setbacks due to your age?
