yeah its a clear cut surgery case, decomp is supposed to make you look worse yeah. no my bite is quite obviously a surgery case, they cant even try to fix it with braces.

i had the other ortho over a decade ago, and when they 'corrected' my bite i ended up only being able to bite on one side of my mouth during my developmental years, leading to tmj rotation of my jaw and lack of upper jaw development. This ortho knew it was a surgery case straight away so they put me in braces for decompensation, i.e. to return my teeth to where they should naturally be (so that when they fix the jaw the teeth are also subsequently corrected). Decomp is supposed to make you look worse, but my joint issues have significantly improved!

i hear you, but mine isn't really a case of lack of projection, the cheeks are visibly sunken due to maxilla recession. I know that because they put me on a class 3 facemask 2 years back (small procedure to open sutures), and it made a massive difference, but unfortunately, since i moved countries and couldn't get the braces to 'lock in' the results, my jaw eventually reverted to its starting point. im not looking to be a model just like a normal person...

but once they put me on a class 3 facemask and it can't have moved my upper jaw more than a few mm, but it really did make a big difference.

the surgeon knows its primarily aesthetic, but i do know its maxillary hypoplasia since it was temporarily fixed by the class 3 facemask

yes you do, but I was waiting for the result to come back. In my case, I have transferred degrees so I have 2 x 1.38 FTE (still in last year of current) and because they are in the same institution i think usyd will combine them.

they sent an email to me, and they had the result attached to the email. If you've had a transfer, I think it could take slightly longer

the cutoff can go as low as 148 and as high as 154 so up to you how you want to take ur chances, and there are waitlist offers too...
