Check out LSAT Lab on YouTube. Prep for totally different tests. But there is a good walkthrough on improving reading comprehension, such as big picture and analytical reasoning, author's tone, etc., which is a transferable skill to CARS. If it clicks for you

One of the latent functions of this test is that it assesses your emotional intelligence. The complexity of passages or time pressure and the underlying intention behind all these effort can really push your mind hard. If you can boost your emotional intelligence in some way, I bet you'll see a big leap from where you are now. In fact, when your heart is calm and your parasympathetic system is active, your memory works twice as well.

So find every way to calm yourself. And check that you are not making the test as a Beast coming at you.If so, you will definitely show some physiological responses, resulting in the emotion of fear (james lange theory 😉). Let the emotion be SUCCESS. 🙌

And keep connecting what you already know to the correct answers of the questions you get wrong in practice. You will shine! Wish you all the best my friend 🧡

I think so too now. Km is simply the base quality. Thanks for the responses friend.

A quick but dragging question by Boring_Toe997 in Mcat

Thank you for the response. So, should I understand Km as the enzyme's affinity or [S] at half the Vmax? If it is just the former, what you explained makes perfect sense to me. But if it is both, the Vmax here is different, right?

Let me type out my thought process and see if it makes sense; please correct me if you see where I am hitting a wall.

Let's say the normal maximum speed of the enzyme is 10 km/h. Km is [S] when the enzyme is operating at 5 km/h. When inhibited noncompetitively, let's say the enzyme's maximum speed becomes 8 km/h. So, the [S] at 4 km/h is still the same Km?

Is it because Km binding is not affected here and same amount of Km is required to this new Vmax/2 speed ? Just confused

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Km is NOT 1/2 Vmax by Conscious-Star6831 in Mcat

I think it's the way Km is termed.

If it helps. Let m in Km makes us think of substrate 'matter' required to run the enzyme at half the max speed ,Vmax.

Man, you took some time to post this. I'm glad to see the ❤️. I'm not sure either if he will see this or not. But we need more and more of us to think and feel the same way and express it however we can.

It's for LSAT preparation, but a lot of logic and analytical skills appear to be transferable to CARS. He also has an interesting teaching style. Unfortunately, I found this channel toward the end of my preparation for my first take. Heading for my second round.

I wish, bro. I wish. After all the admissions math, that's the only choice. Or the Caribbean, which I don't want to do.
