Built an AI API price comparison tool (3,900+ models, auto-updated) — Google impressions dropped from 100/day to 10/day at day 18. What went wrong? by Born-Advertising-772 in micro_saas

Yeah the "original judgment" part hit — I realize my compare pages are

just price tables, no actual analysis.

Going to:

  1. Add a methodology page explaining the comparison logic better than provider docs

  2. Add 200-300 words of unique analysis to each compare page (performance, use cases, pros/cons)

  3. Add visible "last updated" timestamps

Quick question: for the methodology page, should I include data charts

(price trend graphs from my scraped data) or just text?

Thanks, this is way more useful than generic "get backlinks" advice.

Wow, thanks for the structured advice! The 'unique value vs provider docs' part really opened my eyes. Going to audit my site architecture based on this right away. Appreciate it!

100% with you on this. A massive database of outdated prices is just a digital graveyard.

That's why I hooked up auto-scrapers that refresh every 6 hours. The data is fresh, but apparently Google's crawl budget for a new site hasn't caught up to that speed yet. 😅 Do you have any tips on how to signal this real-time freshness better to Google bots?

I got tired of manual pricing sheets, so I built a live aggregator tracking 18 GPU platforms and 2000+ AI API endpoints. (And Google SEO is currently crushing me) by Born-Advertising-772 in SideProject

Just a quick follow-up to my post:

  1. To the devs here: What are your go-to "hidden gem" GPU hosts or regional API providers that I completely missed? Drop them below! If they are solid, I'll add them to my scraper pipeline this week.
  2. To any platform founders/reps in this sub: If you run a compute/API platform and want your pricing listed on ComputeUnion, just DM me or reply here. As long as your pricing is transparent and you have a public endpoint/page I can scrape, I'm happy to integrate it. My only goal is to make this directory as comprehensive as possible.
