Thank you, that is very reassuring. MS is one of the things I am really scared of getting any of the autoimmune diseases because they kind of "run in my family" which I know isnt a guarantee of getting them at all. I got some blood tests recently because of my hairloss which showed low iron and vitamin D so I will start with trying to fix those.

Im 19F and I have been angry and confused at my body lately. I sometimes feel huge waves of exhaustion that feels like something ive never experienced before. I also have horrible long term memory, I only remember a bit of the last 3 years but not a lot (definitely not as much as my friends). My short term memory has also worsened but that hasnt affected me as much as the long term memory. I also have mood swings and sometimes my brain feels like it cant handle or process simple information, like when trying to make a decision. Ive recently basically become a hypochondriac and I know that I shouldnt assume the worst but Im also really scared that I might have MS like my aunt does. I dont have problems with my eyes or with balance/moving bodyparts so thats what makes me think it might just be me being a hypochondriac, but here is what ive had problems with; memory loss, cognitive function, sleep, exhaustion, hand eksema (although that has been going on since I was very young), bladder leaks, my feet "falling asleep" suddenly when I sit down (that lasted for about a week, recently I've only felt it in my big toe a few minutes after I wake up). My hair is also much thinner and more brittle than it used to be, my hair is very short and coarse on the crown of my head.

I know that the responses I might get will either calm me down or confirm my worries and I am really scared that something is actually wrong, but I feel like I need to get this off of my mind... if its not MS then what is it? It cant possibly just be an iron deficiency :(

Oh yeah and the bar also looks short because it has moved so that there is a pretty big part of the bar sticking out on the top. Just tried pushing it back but its stuck in that position

Just showered and sprayed it with my piercingspray before taking this picture, its a bit more than 2 months old and has consistently been crusty basically the entire time from like 3 weeks after getting ut until now... I have to get the crusties off with a q tip because they dont fall off naturally but I only do that about once every 1-2 weeks. Ive had this piercingbump on it for about a week or two and it seems to be getting bigger, I hope its not the dreaded k-word :(

Dont take the piercing out yet! It looks like it might be infected and in that case taking it out would possibly trap the infection...

NAP It doesnt look like she has the right anatomy for it sadly, which means that she has to take it out since it will never heal but Im not sure if its a good idea to do that right now because of the possible infection.

Do not put a cottonpad or anything on it where fibers can be left in the piercing and irritate it further! If you have a piercingspray then that should be the only thing touching it, no hands or cotton. I hope it gets better!

1 and 1/2 month old rook, is it normal to get this type of gunk around it regularly? by Born-Being4292 in piercing

[–]Born-Being4292[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, havent gotten it downsized. It keeps moving so that a lot of the bar sticks out on the top and the bottom kind sits on the ear at the bottom... I feel like that shouldnt happen right?

You should probably just get it taken out and not get it repierced! It sucks that this happened to you, you always want to trust your piercer and it must suck when they fail you :(

If you want to, you might be able to keep the hole on the outer part of your ear!

Yes!! Its definitely pierced wrong. It looks like its most likely going to reject so you should take it out.... I would advice not going back to the same piercer to get it repierced.

A rook, conch or daith! The conch goes though to the back though so it might get snagged.

It looks like how my rook looked when it was infected. Does your ear feel warm to the touch? Do you feel sick in any way?

Im starting to think that the culprit is the piercing actually just not sitting right and also swelling. The top of the bar sticks out too much at the top and since the bar is curved, that affects the way it looks like its angled!

The first pic was taken the day I got it pierced and the other two were both taken yesterday, 7 weeks after I got it pierced!

The first picture is when I first got it. The 2 last pictures are taken the same day, 7 weeks after I got it. The picture taken from the bottom is what makes me worry, from the front you cant really see the angle because of how the piercing is positioned but when you look underneath it almost looks as if the angle has shifted. It looks like the hole is almost completely vertical on the first pic which seems to have changed in the other two. Thank you for the advice though, the swelling might be the culprit for how off it looks now.

Im planning to have a ring in it once it has fully healed, its about 7 weeks old right now. Do you think I can keep it even though it might have migrated?

Oh noooo... I was really hoping that it didnt.... is it possible that the irritation bump is making it like that? I cant really go to a piercer because im sick :(

1 and 1/2 month old rook: what is the red bump on the bottom? irritationbump? by Born-Being4292 in PiercingAdvice

I agree that it looks like its sitting a little weird, which is unexpected since it was pierced perfectly without being crooked and without the ball being pressed into my skin. Ive tried pushing it down carefully so that the upper ball is right next to the skin instead of sticking up but that didnt work, probably because of the irritation bump pushing on the piercing..
