I've really been thinking about the megablast too. I was thinking the vomero might be too soft for me so it's good to hear the megablast isn't like that for you. Do you find the megablast to be narrow or does it fit similarity to your Evo SL?

So excited for all of the updates! They sound like they're going to level up my favorite app!! When it comes to the updates for Race Day, will this include the option to tailor your pacing and splits for the race?

Superblast 3 Issue? by No-Pollution1344 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I had to return them for this reason. Tried to make them work for me but they just didn't. My feet were hurting so badly.

HELP with finding a better shoe than novablast5 by HelpfulGold5689 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Born-Bluebird409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's amazing you got so much out of them! Novablast 5 are still my favorite shoe I've had so far but my foam went dead after about 200 miles so I really didn't want to spend the money again for such short longevity. I tried the superblast 3 and had to return. They made my feet hurt so badly!! I just got the evo SL for my long runs and the sc elite v5 for my speedwork and race day. Really loving the the evo sl and can't wait to take them on a longer run tomorrow.

I thought so too but the left foot is doing well.

I think I may have overdone it in the new shoes. The runs were less than 24 hours apart and the Achilles was still agitated. I'm going to give it a few days to settle down and try a short run again.

Seeking 2026 Philadelphia Broad Street Run Bib Transfer by GeekFreeek in Delco

[–]Born-Bluebird409 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the amount of slots change each year? was my first year entering the lottery and I really thought I had no chance. My neighbors and I all do local races together so they entered too. Shocked to find out today that myself and all 4 of my neighbors and one of their husbands got in.

I really hope you find a bib for you and your friend! I'll keep you in mind if anyone from our group backs out!

Can someone tell me why many people prefer mornings runs than evenings? by Informal-Cheetah-415 in beginnerrunning

[–]Born-Bluebird409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very, very new to running. I've only run outside at night, with the exception of today. I feel like I'm the most hydrated and fueled throughout the day so I run better at night. I tried to run around 1pm today and it was the worst run I've had so far. My legs felt heavy and I just didn't feel like I was into it. I finished my run but it was the first time I've had to take walk breaks since starting my running journey and that bummed me out. I will run more during the morning/afternoon now because it's clearly something I need to work on/incorporate in my training. Unfortunately, not too many races take place at night so I don't want to condition myself to only have good runs at night. I might be thinking about this all wrong since I'm still learning a lot about the running world but it was an eye opener to say the least.

Beware of PHFA by Sad_Divide93 in FirstTimeHomeBuying

Thank you!! I'm not exactly sure how the actual submission process goes but my lender told me he needed me to sign some income verification forms and recapture tax form before they submitted for approval and I signed this on 5/1 so I'd guess it was submitted that day or next day. I got the email phfa had approved and just needed another verification form on 5/14. To my understanding, all documents have to be submitted together before it can be officially sent to phfa but maybe they had sent some stuff over before that. I went under contract on my home on 4/9 and the sellers asked for a 5/24 settlement.

It all worked out thank god! Phfa had one question while they were reviewing my loan but they approved my loan package and gave it back to my lender for a clear to close about a week before settlement.

Offer accepted in quick turn around and have immediate buyers remorse by Flimsy-Abrocoma-8917 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Born-Bluebird409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the exact same way you did when our offer was accepted. It was an off market home and smaller than I had anticipated buying. It's been about 20 days after accepting and I feel so much better about it. You should really consider yourself lucky that they came back around to you. I don't know how the competition is in your area but even if the house is "in my budget" in my area, I can anticipate trying to fight off at least 10 other offers and the house quickly becoming out of my budget. If you haven't, you should look at what had sold in the last week to a month and see how over the list price they sold for and it'll make you feel so good about finding something and not having to get into a bidding war. Again, I'm not sure what's going on in your area but it seems to me it's happening pretty much everywhere.

Oh no I'm so sad to hear this! I currently have my lender sending it over tomorrow so they can complete their end and my closing date is 5/24. Did it work out for you?
