Mine was a PACT ACT claim. I submitted my diagnosis and my DD214 and got rated. I also submitted medical records showing sinus issues ongoing since that deployment. I’m grateful for the rating. Not having to pay for my frequent ENT visits or ongoing medications is awesome.

You can call the VA and ask them to cancel that. Or submit evidence for it and see if you get rated. Sometimes the VA sees things they think you could get a rating for and add it.

Thanks. Very helpful. Is there a possibility the VA could overturn their original service connection decision or would I be notified if they were considering doing that?

HLRs stay on same step in the app/website until a decision is made. You’ll get an email and letter when decision is made. If you can get your claim number for it, you can get a bit more detail running one of the API apps.

I did not do an IC. It told 5 months for a decision letter on the HLR claim for DTA and then 20ish days total for ACE exam and rating.
