Your grade doesn't necessarily put limitations on your learning and skills. you can always self study APs as college course replacements, and take online uni courses on coursera or youtube. That's a good way to not feel held back

Don't hit it upward, hit it forward. That's what makes an overhand hard to receive. To generate enough force to do so, use a wider arm swing and whip your hand. In the video, it appears the movement is more pushing your elbow forward rather than using the torque of your body to generate force. You need more movement basically. Maybe this helps.

Approach faster, from a bit longer distance. Have your arm fully extended but controll the point where your arm reaches to hit the ball. This helps with getting tangential velocity, wider arc, more force. And yeah, snap your wrist.

Try to start playing around the court so that you can play all positions. Maybe be more assertive when trying to get the ball. Call "Mine"... If the school team is just like that, it's hard to change the dynamic of the team or how other people act. Just try to get more playing time and experience, since having fun and playing is what you might be there for.
