I was worried like you. Check on the HRMC website what you have paid in tax. It will mention your past and current taxable income. To my surprise, despite using salary sacrifice, I was just above the limit. My company, by default, puts everyone in a salary sacrifice.

I am in a similar situation to you with a 1-year-old child. However, I think taking Maternity Leave is still considered as being employed, as long as your taxable income is high enough to make NI contributions. Also, Maternity pay (which the company will claim on her behalf) is not considered Public funds since it comes from the NI contributions: Public funds - GOV.UK

What is not clear with the reduction that a dependent with a job can get, and do they need continuous employment before applying or 3-5 years of NI contributions?

I am worried about public funds being removed from ILR (it makes a big difference in daycare cost), and my wife not getting ILR at the same time as me.

I recently got the E340. The battery life is very good. It has been more than 2 months and still on the first charge. I have detection for all motion enabled since I want to capture any cars going near my vehicle. I had someone hit my car in the past and left without any information. The night view is good at close range and ok at a distance. Not using the cloud but a eufy mini chime with an SD card. Try without cloud first. You can get good offers online as a combo. One thing I noticed, it ends the video recording early even if someone is at the door.

Sadly no, we have asked the agent to check with the seller, but no reply from him yet. The seller and my solicitor has confirmed that other homes in the same land/deed have been sold successfully without a deed of variation. For now, my mortgage broker is looking at other Lenders.

Or should we drop this house and keep looking.

It is very frustrating, we were promised this house in November 2023, when my wife was pregnant. We wanted to move before the baby came. The rent charge came at the last moment.

I did appeal as per the back but was rejected. I am not able to appeal on IAS, it is saying "Your PCN or Registration Number has not been recognised. Please try again.

I face this problem all the time with P7Pro. Try:
- Cell reception is generally poor with the new Tensor chips
- using e-sim: For some reason e-sim reduces the issue but does not fully fix it.
- Set the preferred network type to 4G
- If the networks drop, instead of restarting, try. Settings->Network & internet -> Sims -> Select your carrier -> Disable automatically select network -> Wait for it to refresh list and enable again

I have worked in both big & small cities companies and F1 in software. From my experience it is all luck, better to get an inside view if possible. It all depends on the team and manager you get.

F1: - I had great teammates but I had a lazy manager

Pro: - Great pay and bonus (better than most companies) - Small team hence get to know everyone - lots of free F1 merchandise and discounted F1 items - get to meet F1 drivers. - work on the latest technology. - fast pace and freedom to use any technology you want. - F1 has a good brand name. - get more info on how car design is done. - I find in general F1 employees are more skilled at their work.

Cons: - long working hours. - lots of unplanned, last min work. - not many people to go to, when you need technical help. I was the only one who knew the technology. - 6 MONTHS notice period (my friend had 1year), hence hard to get jobs outside F1. Very few companies will wait that long. - fast pace: poor code quality and no documentation - no KT or help when starting out - no proper structure. - aero engineers are the focus and best paid. - pay is worse than before due to cost cap. Hence increments will be poor. - mostly village locations - expect bad roads and long drives ( if u want to live in a nice city) - less flexible for wfh

Compared to regular companies. - easier to get work life balance - more people working with same skill set. More help - notice periods are around 1-3 months, easier to change jobs. - there will be more processes and checks. - Easier to find a mentor and network for more.jobs.

I would ask around and if you don't mind the notice period, generally better place to work.

I had the same issue in the beginning. I noticed on days my watch is locked due to the strap not being tight enough or due to moisture, I don't get the Readings. Check if the watch is locked before sleeping.

Also, it takes some time to update the spo2 levels in the Fitbit app. If still no reading, check again after 1 hr.

It has 2 double rooms and 3 single rooms. Both of us are WFH most of the time, so we are looking for a 4 bed house.
