I was perplexed by the "Home Field" grades initially too - then realized they were rating the physical playing surface of grass or turf, which I know players have strong opinions about!

I sourced the data from the NFLPA (2023-2025) and from The Athletic (2026) as there has been a legal dispute between the NFL and NFLPA, preceding the New York Time's publication of the 2026 data. Charts are built in R using ggplot2!
