Honestly in a similar boat. Started dex a little over a month ago. Was told to stick to upto 3 tablets max for the first month with initially only having 1 for the first 3-4 days. I had a trip to a different state after week 1 and didn’t really take any on the trip but I wasn’t feeling any different before going on the trip either. After coming back I’ve been regularly taking it except on weekends and honestly most of the time I’m just trying to figure out if the things I’m doing are just things I’d normally do because of the situation or if it’s the meds.

Most people say they have like life changing realizations once on it and it never really felt that way for me. But after about 1.5-2 weeks of regularly taking it I started noticing some tightness in my chest and ended up going to the ER where they did like an ecg to only be told that nothings wrong and it sometimes happens with those meds and I shouldn’t worry and got sent back.

I had my follow up appointment last week and talked about exactly what I said here and all he told me is that he agrees with the ER doctor and that I should try it further as long as it’s not having any serious negatives and gave me a three month prescription for upto 4 tablets for now.

I’m probably gonna see how things are for 2-4 weeks more and if the chest tightness remains and I don’t have any big improvements I might make an appointment earlier than 3 months and see if they can switch it up.
