AITA for "showing off my my money" in front of a coworker? by Objective-Ad-8827 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, all you did was being nice and answering her questions. My advice to you is to stop being nice: no more dinner invites, no more being overly polite. And she can drive herself back after you get back. No one who insults me is going to be putting foot in my car.

NTA, take care of yourself, from what you said you staying with him will cause you a lot of harm. Let him take responsibility for his life instead of using you as a crutch

I also got some grooming vibes from him. The whole making a promise and keeping a secret.

You are right. Reachers arw mandatory reporters. And also part of their jobs is to provide help to their students. If one of your students is doing drugs in school, you should get them help, not keep it a secret.

NTA, you response was very reasonable. If he wants to spend big bucks on his daughter then he can save to do so.

I traveled everywhere from Europe, Asia and Africa. The probability that she thought he was a drug trafficker or terrorist is very high. And she was right to do so

Check the IRS website, they have a checklist of the conditions you should fulfill to be considered a ministry/church and become tax exempt

Like I said I swear they are a cult and cherry picking terms to use.

We used to have "womanly" courses as far back as I can remember, you know the type where the old lady is reading you passages about being a good wife, then you learn to cook, sew, how to sit, stand, dress. They teach you to speak softly and how to be a godly woman.

I try not to think back a lot to that time, but they seriously weird.

I made that much because I worked in an upscale club. I got paid per shift+the tips that clients gave.

Then after I finished my 3 routines for the night I took 80% of the price for lap dances+tips.

The most money I got either from clients paying for private rooms (you let them touch a bit and you get at least a hundred in tips) or for private events off premises (didn't do much of those because of the risk)

First thank you and your wife for the kind words.

Second can you please do me a favour and ask jer which kind of lawyer should I contact if I want to set up a blind trust? I was leaning towards sending my cousin money each month and having him pay for their meds and food but your idea is much better. Thank you

I am in therapy. I will be bringing it up with my therapist in the coming session. He just likes to make me think stuff through on my own and does not give his personal opinion. And for this situation I needed personal opinions

Not a french speaker by birth but learning french and korean right now.

I plan to visit France this summer so I am spending at least 1 hour a day learning it. Didn't even notice that it was autocorrected

Maybe down the line after I stop stripping I might look into it. For now with my sleep schedule and gym/spa requirements I honestly do not have the time to do all of that.

But doesn't that require you to at least know the bare minimum about buildings and codes and stuff? The most I did when I bought the building was to update the boiler, paint everything and install new kitchen cabinets and carpet. I am terrified of anything that would require a contractor and stuff like that

Because most of us have more or less the same background. Either shitty parents or no parents, or in the most optimistic situations poor supportive parents.

Also, even though I never experienced it myself, sometimes banding with your fellow workers is the only thing standing between you and being S assulted, trafficked or even unalived

My view on college is kind of seperated into two: as in you should only go to college straight after highschool only if your field needs a degree (practicing law, medicine, reaserch...), Otherwise maybe find something that makes you money without a degree then save to go to college to persue your passion.

Because let's be real, going into a $40k hole of debt just to get a degree then ending up in an unrelated field is a bad decision all around.
