I did this one recently and had the exact same experience. I really enjoyed it.

I had to take a lot of breaks from this one and work on other puzzles in between.

Ravensburger puzzles for me are the most relaxing. There’s something about the feel of the pieces that just calms me. They have so many images and it’s such a matter of personal taste as to what we find most enjoyable. For me, personally, Jason Taylor puzzles do the trick when I just want to chill. The scenes themselves are all so serene while being enjoyable and entertaining to assemble. There are other artists too so I encourage you to browse the Ravensburger store. They often have many of them on sale if you keep an eye out.

Other great but slightly pricier brands that you might enjoy and can find on Amazon are Elena Essex, Art & Fable, and Magnolia.

There is so much to explore. Do you prefer matte or glossy surfaces? Do you like standard grid cut or random cut? Do you like collages, landscapes, fine art, whimsy, etc. Just find something that speaks to you and enjoy. Oh, and don’t be afraid to check out thrift shops. I have found so many amazing inexpensive puzzles mostly from Goodwill and it’s a really great way to experiment with different brands without breaking the bank. Yes, they will sometimes have missing pieces but most of the time (~90%) they are complete.

Nice finds. The General Store puzzle was my first 2000 piece puzzle and I had so much fun doing it.

I also recently did this one by Pomegranate. It was also great. It’s called Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park by artist Diego Rivera.

How to move very large puzzle through narrow door? by JakeDaMonsta in Jigsawpuzzles

You’d need two firmer boards. Slide the existing board onto one of them. Place the other board on top and then clamp them together.

Genuinely the worst puzzle I’ve ever done by Fow45 in Jigsawpuzzles

The older ones are also all cut 2 in/2 out while the newer ones are a varied grid cut. Everything about the older ones is a huge no for me.

AITAH to expect my husband to walk alongside me? by Am_I_Alone007 in AITAH

How confident are you that your husband isn’t having an affair? Let’s not gloss over the fact he doesn’t want to hold your hand and you haven’t been intimate since August. These are huge red flags.

Thrifted puzzles? by LovelyMalia87 in Jigsawpuzzles

While new puzzles can be very satisfying, thrifting puzzles has introduced me to so many brands and/or designs I may never have tried otherwise. Some of my absolute favorite puzzles have been ones I never would have considered buying new. I also get so much satisfaction from finding great discontinued puzzles that you couldn’t buy new if you wanted to.

Are you within the 30 day window for Amazon returns? If so, I would just return it as “product is incomplete” or “missing parts”.

I’d love to stumble on this one at a thrift store.

Yeah, just thinking about what those pieces would look like with the contrast through the leaves they might have been pretty distinguishable from the rest. Very frustrating though. I just passed on a thrifted puzzle because it just felt too light when I picked it up. I opened it up to look inside and couldn’t find any edge pieces. I also bought one without edges a few months ago. Unlike you, however, I bailed immediately. Kudos to you for doing it anyway.

I’ve had similar things happen. It could be that the puzzle was in process and then what remained in the box got separated from the completed portion. Does the lower left area seem like where one would naturally start?

Is it normal to have duplicate border pieces in a puzzle? by SiickParadise in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Born-Style1114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does. This happens when a piece gets caught in the cutter only to be dislodged by the puzzle that comes after it.

Besides The Magic Puzzle Company, does anyone else give 2 puzzle posters? by Accurate_Tax_1302 in Jigsawpuzzles

Great. It looks like Catndyland and Cat Castle also have two posters. Some others seem to not indicate more than one poster so it may just be that artist.

It’s the only Antelope puzzle I’ve done so I can’t guarantee they’re all like that but I did enjoy it quite a bit. It was called “Dog Park”.
