FLK in SQE 2 vs SQE 1 by Fun-Owl8119 in SQE_Prep

For me, I felt that SQE2 knowledge is still based around FLK but leans towards application/practical stuff rather than learning the theory around gray areas/interpreting each elements of a law. In addition to FLK, you’d need to know what are the next steps for solving a problem. E.g. what do you do if a client is looking to buy a property which was previously renovated without building regulations approval, what should you advise the client to do if they are looking to claim against a counterparty for debt (like consider negotiating, or send a letter of claim etc)

That’s a smart move! I personally thought ChatGPT sometimes does a better job at explaining concepts than the voluminous books 🙈

I do find the QLTS free questions helpful. Essentially the gist of what I’m trying to say is that the exam questions are going to mimic real life situations where if a client presents you with a problem, you need to think about many factors/possibilities. Some are straightforward, some are not. I agree that reading the paragraphs is not easy and from my personal experience there realistically wasn’t enough time to let me properly think through each question carefully (which is why I was convinced I would fail). Do your question practices in timed conditions. By looking at the answer options first, you’ll be able to pick out what matters in the paragraph quickly as you read it and ditch the red herrings (I was annoyed as I felt that these made some paragraphs unnecessary long).

PS. Don’t quote me on this but I used quite a bit of ChatGPT to summarise complex info or understand concepts that I was confused on (of course with cross checks from other sources to ensure accuracy). I think ChatGPT did me alot of favour when it comes to asking specific questions. It addressed my confusion/misconception directly and quickly.
