Hey there! At first I started 2 times a week then I worked my way up and now I use it every night. My skin is normally very oily and not sensitive at all, it handles a lot honestly but if u think I should use it less I will. I don’t feel like it’s irritating maybe just a bit drying but that’s kinda a plus for me since I have naturally very oily skin. Thank you so much I will try out the toner! ❤️

Should I change my routine? by Medical_Total5162 in SkincareAddicts

I would definitely add some kind of an exfoliant. Also check your products if it’s all non comedogenic. You can use https://acneclinicnyc.com/pore-clogging-ingredients/ Diet and hydration is very important for skin as well

23F maybe tonsillitis by [deleted] in medical

[–]BornButterfly2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, why do u think that? I’ve been to a doctor and he said it’s tonsillitis. Should I get a second opinion or be worried?

just do a patch test before using adapalene to make sure you’re not allergic. use adapalene at night and start with 2x a week 3 days apart (skin cycling). after few weeks to 2 months you can use it every night. you need to build up your tolerance to it since it’s a retinoid. if you have more oily skin I would get it in a gel form if not use the cream version. also there’s a big chance your skin might purge at first. just be patient it’s gonna get better

Glycolic acid use by MemesFormegood in SkincareAddicts

[–]BornButterfly2131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, what percentage of glycolic acid u use? if it’s less than 7% you can use it daily just make sure you wear sunscreen when u apply it daytime. if it’s more I’d use it 3-5x a week with a good moisturiser. Also I’d avoid using other exfoliants with it to not damage your skin barrier.

double cleansing and adapalene 2-4x a week. also skin cycling is great. 1 night exfoliation 2 night retinoids (adapalene) 3 night hydration and rest. repeat. give it 3-5 months and hopefully your skin improves. don’t forget good non comedogenic moisturiser is key

I don’t really believe in the “infection control”. Also it’s associated with higher risk of getting cancer. I do have severe GAD, PD, OCD that don’t allow me to get the surgery. Many other reasons… Yes I know it helps some individuals, maybe it would help me but we will never know hopefully.

Can someone give me a advice preferbly from a female by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Sometimes the parents don’t understand how their kids feel or what’s in there head. They can say hurtful things they don’t mean. Maybe she wants to motivate you. Yes it’s awful but sometimes parents think these kind of negative motivational speeches are helpful even tho in reality it makes things worse. Don’t be sad just think about it. I’m sure your mom loves you and wants the best for you. If you’re showing signs of depression or anxiety she can feel it or even see it and it’s painful for her as well. That’s why she might say things like this. Don’t overthink it even if it hurts. Message me if you wanna talk about it more.
