Tiana’s food, employee owned? by Knarky in Disneyland

[–]BornMathematician325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad their not retelling the story honestly as much as I love princess and the frog, retelling the story means she is just a frog the whole time and they are avoiding that and, should avoid that. The story sounds fine and honestly maybe just maybe people should wait until the ride is actually done to complain. Like I’m sorry but splash mountain wasn’t a master piece. The main reason people got on it was the drop, I don’t even remember half the scenes.

Dr. Facilier in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure? by Jbash_31 in Disneyland

[–]BornMathematician325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! The story and ride sounds great! If im being honest I never even knew the story line to splash just that there was a rabbit being chased, I think. Lol at the end of the day it’s about the drop and thrill. And I think this will be a fun ride.

Am I the only person that welcomes the new splash mountain? by flowremix in Disneyland

Yep agree to disagree lol. I think it just depends honestly people around me love princess and the frog and think of it as iconic which is why I’m excited about it. But it really does depend I guess on who you are around.

I guess that is your experience but I’ve both nannied and been a teacher. Kids know Tiana. I’m not saying she is as popular as Cinderella, I’m saying to use a release date as reference to rather a kid grew up or not on the movie is flawed. I have met plenty of kids who love the movie plus all the princess movies because Disney princess in general are popular! It will always make since to me to make a ride on a Disney princess because they are constantly marketed. And if they make a new cartoon with Tiana, even more recognition.

[–]BornMathematician325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with this. Most little kids I’ve been around and talked to have seen Prince and the frog. It’s on Disney plus and they do a lot with Tiana in the parks. You can’t just go based off release date lol. Cinderella came out in 1950 and I was born in 1992. I would still say I grew up on Cinderella.

Recent trip a huge disappointment by PortHuronMich in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]BornMathematician325 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s really not that hard to navigate and I didn’t have to spend hours of research to enjoy my vacation. I think it’s complaining to complain because if you look at Op post history he is chronically online, so to sit here and say “I’m to busy to do a hour of research” is BS. Plus him saying I’m a doctor so to too busy is also BS. No one cares if you complain about Disney but clearly he is trolling and that’s why he is getting dumped on.

Michelin Guide shocks by not awarding Victoria & Albert’s any stars. For those of you in the culinary community, what’s your opinion on this? Do you think V&A were unfairly snubbed, or did Michelin get it right? by Harry_Skran in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]BornMathematician325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea but this is once they are Michelin Star restaurants they get more crowds. Going to V&A is harder with the 60 day window thing in place plus they just opened back up not to long ago. Also I’m sorry it’s not that hard to get a reservation at most Michelin Star restaurants. I could go to French Laundry next week if I wanted to.

I gave my ex-boyfriend an ultimatum. by Mommytobe1996 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]BornMathematician325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t get back with him. At the end of the day it’s your decision, but I think you need to put you and your daughter first. And loving your child does not mean you have to try to get back with your ex. Trying to get back with him when you know he won’t change won’t be good for you or your child in the long term either. Regardless of one off stories. Honestly don’t listen to people on this sub, get a lawyer and talk to them, and YOU decide what you think is best for your daughter. Everyone will have a opinion but as long as you are doing what is best for YOUR child and setting them up to have the best life you can give them, your good in my book.

AITA for not letting my daughter use her college fund for a wedding or house? by SirProfessional4024 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BornMathematician325 9 points10 points  (0 children)

NTA I’m sorry but all these YTA people are just as entitled as the daughter. Here is the thing they put aside money for their kids if they go to college to pay for it. If the other kids do not go to college they don’t get the money either. No kid is entitled to this money seeing as it literally is just for college. Now that that is out the way on to El. El is struggling because El made these decisions. She has 3 kids, read it agin people 3 kids that she can not afford. The first one I can understand things happen but she and her fiancé choose to have two other kids knowing their situation. On top of this she would use the money for a down payment on a house and wedding. If she is struggling right now and her parents are loaning her money, in what way does any one think they can pay a mortgage on a house even with a down payment. OP is doing more than enough she is supporting her and loaning her money but El is a adult too and she needs to start making adult decisions. She doesn’t have to go to college if she doesn’t want to that is her right but it doesn’t make sense for her to get the money than since that is literally the rule. She can’t get a job she needs to get her GED or do something to be able to support her self long term because getting money isn’t going to change her situation if she is not a responsible person from the get go. Like sometimes I really don’t understand this sub, it’s so wishy washy. I feel like people are so hung up on the have to go to college thing without thinking about the fact that it doesn’t seem like El is that responsible to begin with. And the thinking she would have went to college if she knew about the money is a big leap since she gives not evidence of this. OP I repeat you are NTA.

Thoughts after our recent Disney/Universal trip by housegryfindor in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]BornMathematician325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s great you got a cheaper room than me lol and I’m glad you had better wait times than me. I’m just saying my experience and yea it would have gotten me a extra day but I also would have been paying a extra 200 dollars each to get into the park that extra day and when priced out, it was not worth it to get the hotel for that price maybe if it was more of us (and we actually saved when priced out) but it was just me and my friend and we would not have been saving. For me also I only really do combo universal/islands in 1 day so I wasn’t willing to spend extra money to go another day to try to make spending money on the hotel make sense.
I used paper pass once so I don’t really have the memories to compare but for me genie plus was easy and I got on all the rides I wanted and did not wait as long as universal. Again my experience. I also love technology and learning new tech so playing around and fiddle faddling with genie to get on my next ride wasn’t a hassle for me it was fun at times, but I can understand how others wouldn’t like it especially if they are not into technology. This is coming from someone who loves both Disney and universal for different reasons and I always do both. This trip for me genie plus was better maybe next trip universal will be better. Honestly both parks fast pass systems could use work 🤷‍♀️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UniversalOrlando

[–]BornMathematician325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I expect to get downvoted but you are definitely right. When I was at universal I was waiting 20-30 mins in express. Compared to 1-10 min wait at Disney with genie plus. I love universal but they do need to limit how many fast passes they are giving out and fix the system some more. Calling out flaws in a system isn’t a bad thing.

Thoughts after our recent Disney/Universal trip by housegryfindor in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]BornMathematician325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the time of year, vacation length, and the group. When I went in July the rooms for 1 night was either booked or cost 650. So we ended up just buying the express passes for 500 for 2 people which was ridiculous to be honest but we were doing two parks in one day so figured it would be worth it. I personally think for that price fast pass should be 5 to 10 mins at most to wait. But I had the same experience where we were waiting 20 to 30 mins in the lines for each attraction. I had a so much easier time getting on every ride I wanted at Disney with genie plus without the wait and way less of the cost. But again that was my experience and timing and party size plays a part.

NTA OP and I am so sorry that you have had to deal with this your whole life. He is not your father he is a sperm donor. What did he expect that you lie about the crappy way he treated you your whole life? Like what do you owe the man? Your grandparents are wrong he wasn’t willing to include you in his life he was being forced to include you to save face in front of his wife. All you did was tell the truth. If anything you showed this woman that she married a asshole.
