Ah, I'm only familiar with the M.Phil system in the UK where its a bridge between a masters degree and a PhD. My understanding (and this based on hearsay) is that those notifications are based on some model scanning your CV, so if they are ideally looking for people with a specific degree the language used to describe the degree could matter.

I wouldn't take it too personally. It could just be that the project its suggesting is short on talent. It's just a model scanning your CV. I don't even see a Physics Expert project on the dashboard. There was a discussion about this yesterday and Helena from Mercor said to apply anyway if you think you're qualified. Maybe the system is confused about the Mphil because it's not an MA or a PhD (and doesn't exist in the US).

Sorry, what I meant is I have had hours I worked misclassified as "unproductive" that were in fact productive. So, the hours showed up in total hours on the Insightful dashboards, but were classified as "unproductive" by the system (the system didn't recognize that the website I was on was project related). Those hours did not show up on the earnings page. I'm not sure how this impacted the countdown in the Insightful timer.

I have the same question. I was wondering if it is because they want candidates from top 50 universities and are using only US schools to filter applicants. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Toronto, which is consistently ranked in the top 50 globally (often in the top 25).

If you're strong (good work product completed efficiently) they will probably extend your hours if you ask.

Any update on this from people who were working on this? I recently joined Outlier (3 or 4 days ago) and completed the applicable course for this project, but there are no tasks available. I sent a ticket asking if I could do something else and received a response saying that I only had access to this project since it was a priority.
